Chp 2

"Soobin!" Unknown male exclaimed, panting.

"Yes, Yeonjun-hyung?" Soobin looked back and replied, eyeing the man with a stressed face.

"W-Where is T-Taehyun?" Yeonjun said, looking up at the boy towering over him while taking a deep breath, holding his knees.

"What? I don't know; he went with Huening Kai—" Soobin's words were cut off as he realized something was off.

Heck! Those two again!  he cursed inside, facepalming.

"H-Hey... w-what?" Yeonjun asked again, a terrified look in his eyes.

"Tell Rocky-hyung to wait a little bit. I'm so sorry, Yeonjun; maybe they escaped the walls again." Soobin said, helping the other guy stand steadily.

"Shit! I don't want to die yet!"

Yeonjun shouted in frustration, arranging his blonde bangs. Soobin just let out a long sigh, tightly holding the hem of his black clothes, and sprinting away to find the two lads outside their property.

An hour ago

"Yah! Kang Taehyun!" Kai shouted from behind.

"What!?" Taehyun replied, glancing at his back with no emotions. He felt irritated by this loud boy who kept complaining and following him.

"Hey! This is not good, Taehyun. We can just tell your brother in the right way, and not do this breaking-the-rules thing again." Kai stated with a worried face, his eyes clearly expressing concern for the latter.

Kang Taehyun has become a hard-headed individual within the group lately. He refuses to always follow his brother's established rules and orders for the pack. This young man desires to live his own life freely without someone controlling his decisions. While Taehyun is rational in family business matters, his curiosity leads him to wander around the woods, causing him to forget his responsibilities within the pack. His pack is increasingly concerned about his irrational behavior, adding to the worries of his family, particularly his one and only brother who leads the pack.

"I don't care about the consequences, Kai. I'm done with his commands, and please stop following me."

Taehyun replied with a dark, cold, husky voice and a stern look while gazing directly at him. Kai felt a chill and fell into silence; he didn't know how to reply with the right words to convince Taehyun, as they were only acquaintances.

"I hate living in these shadows. I want to be useful in this pack, Kai." Taehyun added.

Upon hearing that, Kai hesitantly replied, hoping not to offend the latter. "I-I know that, Taehyun, but please consider the people who are worried, looking for you, no us!" he said, walking closely to Taehyun.

"I don't know your intention right now, but maybe hunters will hunt us and kill us in no time." he worriedly added.

Taehyun sighed. "Kai, have you forgotten? We're also hunters who'll kill innocent creatures to run our firm successfully." he reached Kai's right shoulder and tapped it with a serious look and a cold gaze, enough for the other boy to feel goosebumps.

"If we are professionals in that field, then why do we need to be worried about those hunters who'll hunt us? We can also kill them or fight back to defend ourselves." he bluntly added.

Kai reluctantly nodded his head and thought,
Yeah, why am I still scared of those hunters? I'm skillful enough to defend myself from those monsters!  He reassured himself, grabbing his cheeks.
