Beomgyu smiled weakly at the werewolf as the pearl tears slid down his cheeks. His chest felt tight, and his heartbeat frantic, yet the pain seemed to consume every other sensation.
He didn’t dare to look down.
He knew where the bullet landed on.
All he wanted was to see Taehyun’s charming face—the face he had fallen for, the face he never wanted to be apart from, and never be forgotten.
Slowly, his one knee gave out, and he sank to the ground, still gazing at his frozen lover in the distance. He gripped the bouquet tightly, his trembling fingers refusing to let go.
Mom. Dad...
He lifted his teary eyes to the sky above. The golden light bathed everything in a surreal glow, a beauty that almost calmed the storm in his heart. His breaths slowed for a fleeting moment as his pulse matched the gentle rhythm of the scene around him.
But the peace only deepened his fear.
I can’t...
I can’t leave him.
Not yet.
He didn’t want to feel this way.
He didn’t want to feel the growing distance, the uncertainty creeping in. He longed to spend more time with Taehyun. To create more memories, to feel the warmth of his presence for just a little longer.
Beomgyu clung the bouquet as though it held him together, silently begging the fate to let him stay in this moment a little longer.
P-Please....

"Gotcha!"
The male declared triumphantly, lowering his smoking gun with a smirk.
Taehyun gritted his teeth, his eyes coldly narrowing at the figure as the human boy disappeared from his view. Without hesitation, he transformed into his true form—a powerful wolf.
He loudly growled.
Hyunjin.
Why the hell are you still roaming free?
How did you get out of the cell, you bastard?!
You should be rotting in that cell!
Fueled by pure rage, the werewolf sprinted forward, facing the barrage of bullets Hyunjin fired at him.
The man trembled at what he witnessed.
The werewolf claws tore into the dirt as he surged ahead, his breath heavy and determined to kill the creature before him. With a powerful leap, he launched himself at the male, his wolf's maw opening wide.
*SPLASH!*

Hyunjin grabbed his hair in frustration, slamming his head against the cold concrete wall behind him. Blood trickled down his temple, mixing with the sweat that dripped from his brow. A deranged laugh bubbled out of him, echoing in the small cell as he swung his fists at the air, punching nothing but his own madness.
The creak of the door snapped him out of his frenzy. A security guard entered the dimly lit room.
"Wassup, Uncle."
Hyunjin greeted with a sly grin.
The man sighed, stepping closer before kneeling in front of him, patting his matted hair like a father trying to console a rebellious child.
"You don’t belong here. It's his time." The man said firmly. He extended a hand, helping Hyunjin to his feet.
Hyunjin dusted himself off, the smirk never leaving his face. His eyes gleamed with unshaken resolve as he took slow, deliberate steps toward the cell’s exit.
Nuh-uh~ I’m not done yet. I can still end you, Choi Beomgyu.
Pausing at the threshold, he turned his head slightly, his lips curling into a twisted smile.
Just wait for me... Spend all the precious time you want with your lover.
It won’t last.

Back to Present
With a shaky inhale, the human focused his blurry vision on the scene before him. He saw how the werewolf, brutal and merciless, deliver the fatal blow to Hyunjin.
T-Terry...
The wolf jaws clamped down on Hyunjin’s arm, bones snapping as he tore it apart, eliciting a blood-curdling scream of agony.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!"
As the chaos subsided, the werewolf shifted back into human, his eyes filled with something unreadable.
Hyunjin’s breaths grew shallow, his life slipping away with each exhale. Yet, through the pain, he managed a soft, gentle smile.
"Sucks! Y-You got me, immortal."
For him to go back...
Taehyun knelt beside him, lowering his head before leaning in close to coldly whisper with sorrow in Hyunjin's ear.
