After that emotional heart-to-heart, the brothers began the slow journey of rebuilding their bond.
They shared their regrets and truths, peeling away the layers of hurt and misunderstanding that had accumulated over the years. It wasn't easy–awkward silences often punctuated their conversations, and at times, the wounds felt too fresh.
Yet, they both knew that mending their relationship was worth every effort.
Rocky made it a priority to visit the younger twice a week, checking on his mental and physical health. Though Taehyun secretly appreciated his brother's gesture. It made him feel cared for–something he had missed deeply from his own family.
Meanwhile, the older worked tirelessly to resolve the brutal killings that had shaken the pack. With the help of Yeonjun and Soobin, he managed to stabilize the situation. The fruition of their hard works gave Taehyun a sense of ease he hadn't felt.
Taehyun had carried the weight of his actions, convinced he was alone in his guilt. With his friend and brother support, he found the courage to start making amends to those in the pack who had been hurt during the battle. Though the process was slow, he was determined to make things right.
As for the pack, the atmosphere began to shift. Rocky's persistence in crafting new rules, ones that prioritized inclusivity and fairness–was paying off. Each member began to feel seen and valued, their voices heard in ways they hadn't before. It wasn't perfect, but progress was undeniable.

At the Pack's Building
"Hyung? May I interrupt you for a while?" Yeonjun formally announced, knocking on the door to catch the attention of the man engrossed in signing documents.
Rocky glanced up and gestured for the latter to enter his office.
"What news?"
"Well, today, maybe you forgot you're scheduled to visit the shipment company to inspect the materials. And also..." Yeonjun flipped through his planner, pulling out a pink envelope with gold borders.
"There's an invitation from Hwang & Lee Corp. It's a reunion party, and they specifically requested your presence."
Rocky let out an exasperated sigh. He hated attending parties, especially ones that weren't work-related.
To hell with this party. I hate wearing this fake grin, again.... Should I step down already? This is too much. I'll die young at this rate.
He pinched his nose bridge in stressed.
Yeonjun smirked at the man's complaints.
"Stop that nonsense, Commander. According to this, the new member they're introducing is a key player in their company. He's likely a major asset. This isn't something you can just ignore."
Rocky groaned but relented, knowing Yeonjun had a point.
"Fine... Prepare my attire. Before that, how are you doing? Are you managing alright with those crutches?" he asked, eyeing the latter with genuine concern.
Yeonjun blinked, surprised by the unexpected question, before a faint blush spread across his cheeks. He giggled softly, appreciating this rare display of care from the stern man.
"I'm fine, Hyung. The crutches are really helpful-I can move around easily now. And Grandma Sora's treatment has been a miracle. I'm healing faster than expected." Yeonjun replied with a sweet grin.
Rocky nodded. "Good. Now, go rest. I'll handle the shipment visit alone. Spend your time with Soobin." he said bluntly, already returning his focus to the documents on his desk.
