Beomgyu's POV
Gently blinking my eyes, my body ached from the impact of the fall. The throbbing pain resonated through every inch of my being. As I cautiously surveyed my surroundings, I found myself lying on a rocky surface inside what seemed to be an arched cave? The dim light filtering through the entrance hinted that it was already nighttime.
Attempting to sit up, I struggled against the stiffness in my body. The left side of my head throbbed in rhythm with my heartbeat, creating a dull ache that added to my discomfort. I could feel the coolness of the cave against my skin, and the rocky texture beneath me as I shifted.
"It's night already." I murmured softly, observing the moon's gentle glow illuminating the cave entrance.
My vision remained slightly blurred, a persistent headache clouding my thoughts. Despite the discomfort, I persisted in trying to sit up, my lower body reluctantly responding to my efforts.
"Ugh! S-Sit up." I whispered to myself, each movement an exercise in overcoming the stiffness and soreness.
Feeling a combination of weariness and weakness, I gradually shut my eyes, allowing myself a moment to succumb to the quiet solitude of the cave. Unbeknownst to me, tears welled up again, trailing down my cheeks as I bit my lower lip, grappling with the painful and overwhelming emotions that gripped me.
Surrounded by silence, only the cold wind whispered outside the cave. The tranquil moment was interrupted by the audible grumble of my stomach, causing a slight blush to color my cheeks. Anticipating the delicious food back at the vacation house, I licked my dry lips, lost in thoughts of a satisfying meal.
Suddenly, the rustling of bushes caught my attention, and I swiftly sat up, wincing a little as I hugged my bruised knees. To my surprise, I noticed that the bruises were covered with some herbs. Puzzled, I furrowed my brow, unable to recall applying them myself.
After dozing off for a bit, I found myself on high alert, ready to defend against any unknown creature that might pose a threat. Anxiously scanning my surroundings,
Oh! Please spare my life!
I pleasingly thought.
Within the secluded area of the forest, I realized there was no object to help defend myself, only debris of rocks and small twigs scattered around. Panic set in as my thoughts reminded me of the danger lurking in the woods, particularly WOLVES that roamed freely.
Wolves!?
Terrified, I hurriedly hid in the shadows, my body pressed against the corner, desperately trying to blend into the darkness. My mind raced, recalling the small figure I had seen earlier before losing consciousness.
How and when I ended up inside this arched rock?
As I cautiously surveyed my surroundings, my gaze landed on a huge leaf adorned with berries. Slowly crouching, I reached for it with shaky hands, all the while keeping a wary eye on the bush not too far away.
