Chp 17

Beomgyu waited for the werewolf to return, he's tidying up after his lonely dinner, when he noticed a small pup approaching.

"Sunoo-ya?" he asked, crouching down as the pup nuzzled into his chest. "Hehehe, did Terry send you to check on me?"

The pup barked softly and licked his chin.

"Alright! Let me fix up the bed for you to rest, okay?"

The pup jumped down and darted off, making the human chuckle as he finished cleaning. Moments later, Sunoo shifted back into his human form and joined him, helping prepare their makeshift bed.

"Sunoo-ya, I’ll step outside for a moment to get the dry clothes!"

"Hai, Dr. Beomie!" Sunoo chirped, settling into the bed with a smile.

Outside, Beomgyu patted the clean clothes and folded them when a sudden sense of unease crept over him. He stopped on his task, listening intently as the footsteps approached from behind him.

Is Terry back? 

Beomgyu turned around with a hopeful smile. But his expression quickly turned to fear as he locked eyes with the menacing strangers.

"Dr. Beomie!"

Beomgyu glanced over at Sunoo, who looked panicked staring at the tall males before him, like he know something. The latter stumble back onto the ground in bewilderment.

"Ooooh~ what a great plot twist in history! Teaming up with a human, huh?" one of the men sneered, stepping toward Sunoo, who was visibly trembling.

Beomgyu quickly rushed over, wrapping his arms protectively around the small werewolf.

"Stay away from us! Who are you?!" he shouted.

"Dr. B-Beomie… they’re... they're the ones who... who have been looking for Sir Taehyun." Sunoo whispered, clutching the human's arm tightly.

Beomgyu’s heart pounded with terror. Taehyun wasn’t here, and the dark looks in these men’s eyes revealed nothing but ill intentions.

"Thank you for leading the way, Sunoo-shi~" The male menacingly grinned. "You. Fucking. Mortal. Come with us. We won’t hurt you… as long as you don’t cause trouble." he added, reaching his hand out toward them.

"No!" Sunoo slapped his hand away, voice trembling but defiant. "He’s not going with you, Niki!"

Niki raised an eyebrow, smirking as he eyed Sunoo with a cold, judgmental look.

"Pft! This one is acting so tough.
Care to explain why?"

"This is Sir Taehyun’s order. He can’t leave here without him!" Sunoo glared.

"Oh, we see. But Commander also ordered us to capture this trash. Seems fair enough." Jake sneered, crossing his arms.

"Trash?! How dare you call him that—"

Sunoo’s words were cut short as a slap struck his face, knocking him back. Beomgyu gasped, stepping in front of the young wolf to shield him, his eyes wide with horror.

"W-Why would you do that to your own pack member?" Beomgyu’s voice shook, unable to comprehend the cruelty he’d just witnessed.

"I hate waiting. And why would a dumb weak human like you tried to act like a hero to protect his enemy?" Niki said coldly, brandishing a heated iron that glowed a menacing orange in the dim light. "Now, get up, or else."

Enemy...?

Beomgyu gulped, helping the shaken werewolf to his feet.

"Dr. Beo-mie… please d-don’t do this! W-We can wait for Sir Taehyun to r-return...!" Sunoo worriedly whispered shout.
