Taehyun's POV

A soft smile crept onto my face as Beomgyu rested his head on my chest, using it as a pillow. I couldn't control my heartbeat quickened as his lavender scent filled the air, relaxing every part of my exhausted body.

I stroked his soft hair, my gaze drifting up to the fabric ceiling above us. Sleep seemed impossible to me, especially after that kiss. It was my first time. Also, it happened in unexpected sacred place for such a tender moment, and the vivid memory brought a quiet laugh to my lips.

But then I noticed him shifting slightly under me.

He's struggling to sleep.

We can't stay here like this; he needs somewhere better to rest. He's not like me—he's a mere human, a fragile being. I'm sorry, Beomgyu, for everything you've been through because of me.

"Terry?" His soft voice pulled me from my thoughts of him.

I glanced down, meeting his glossy gaze. His chin rested on my chest, and his pouty cute lips were too tempting.

"I can't sleep~" he murmured, letting out a yawn as he snuggled his cheek against my chest, still looking at me.

I laughed softly at his adorable expression. "You're yawning, sleep's already calling you. Just close your eyes." I murmured, brushing my fingers through his hair.

"Can I ask you something?" Beomgyu whispered, his fingers tracing absent patterns on my chest.

I nodded, encouraging him to go on.

"Can you tell me about your life?" Beomgyu asked suddenly, his eyes sparkling with curiosity after. "Oh! How about your parents? I'd love to know about your family, if... if that's alright..." his voice softened to a gentle whisper, and I couldn't help but to smile. He really was such a sweet soul.

However, I hesitated, thinking it over. But when I looked at his eager face, I found myself opening up to him.

"Hm, I have a very protective family." I began. "My parents were so good. I think they're perfect. They gave me everything, but... I kept searching for more, something that wasn't just material. Something I couldn't receive from them..."

Beomgyu pouted thoughtfully as he listened, his expression was so focused. "What is it you're searching for, Terry?" he asked, blinking those big, curious eyes.

"Freedom." I said softly.

"Freedom?" he echoed.

"Yeah." I nodded and sighed. "I want to be free, to breathe fresh air, to see the light without limitations. I want to search for my own path, to figure out where my heart belong and what destiny holds for me..."

I paused as the memories stirring in me.

"... I have an older brother. When we were kids, he and I were inseparable. I loved him deeply, and he loved me too. Every day and night, we'd hang out, dreaming together about the future. But one day, everything changed—it turned into a puzzle I couldn't understand. He became distant, cold. He abandoned the dreams we shared, and turning into this workaholic who prioritized the pack rules over everything meaningful... even us."

Beomgyu gazed down, pressing his lips together. "I hope you can make things right with your brother. You're lucky to have one." he murmured, his fingers gently tapping my chest.

I raised an eyebrow. "You don't have any siblings?" I asked, noticing the sadness flickering in his eyes.

He nodded, managing a tight smile. "Eomma couldn't have more kids—she got sick, and Appa... he worked hard for both of us. I miss them..."
