- A PLEA TO BEGIN -

"Taehyun?!"

Kai's eyes widened in shock, he adverted his gaze to look down, his brows furrowing as he struggled to process what he was seeing.

His master living with a human?

That thought struck him like a bolt of lightning. Is Taehyun breaking the rules they've sworn to follow to protect themselves from humans—their mortal enemies!

No, that can't be true.

Kai reassured himself.

Taehyun is a loyal member of the pack.
He wouldn't betray us...

But doubt still crept in his mind if he'll noticed the strange dynamic between the two.

I need Taehyun to go back!
That's my motive why I'm here,
I'll protect him from them.

"Yaaah! Let's go back! They've sent Enha to track you down! Bro, you've got yourself into serious trouble. Yeonjun and Soobin are leading the search!" Kai ranted, a deep fear evident in his voice and forgetting the human boy's existence.

Taehyun, still in his pup form, gulped as he observed his assistant's pure panic. Kai seemed completely oblivious to the human standing right beside them, watching everything unfold.

"Kai! What the hell?! There's a human here—are you crazy?"  Taehyun sent a telepathic eye gaze message to the male.

"Oh shit! This is all your fault, Kang Taehyun! I'm here to bring you back to the pack before they harm you! Let's go back!"

"Kai, I can't leave. He's in trouble—"

"Trouble?! What about you?! Think about yourself too, Taehyun! Rocky-hyung is worried sick about you! Please, go back—Taehyun! What the heck are you doing?!"

Kai gasped out, stumbling back and landing on the ground in shock as he watched his best friend begin to transform into his human form.

This isn't Taehyun planning to do.

Meanwhile, Beomgyu stood frozen, struggling to breathe normally as he tried to comprehend what he was witnessing.

His cute little puppy he adored the most... turning into a human?! Is this even real? He had only ever seen something like this in the fictional books he read. But the most shocking part of all—

The man standing before him, the one who had just transformed from his beloved puppy, was the very same man who had saved him.

T-Terry... He's... He's a werewolf?!

Beomgyu's palpitating mind went blank as he stared at the tall, half-naked muscular man in front of him, his round eyes darting between his Terry and the other man on the floor. He tried desperately to piece together all the memories from the first time he met the puppy.

That's why that night in the cave felt so strange. Beomgyu's weak heart start to race. He couldn't recall how he had ended up there, hiding. And the next day, he woke up in a small cabin with deer and found food waiting for him.

All those bizarre encounters in the thick forest suddenly made sense.

"Beomgyu." Taehyun's voice was soft, careful not to scare the already frantic human.

The werewolf began to walk slowly toward the human, who was shrinking back in fear and confusion. Beomgyu shook his head, silently pleading for Taehyun to stay away.
