At the very end of the deepest, darkest part of the vine-covered woods, Taehyun leaped from one branch to another before slipping his pup body into the dense, towering bushes.

In the most secluded area, he emerged into a breathtakingly beautiful yard, where a small, wooded polished house stood amidst the greenery.

With a flicker of focus, Taehyun transformed back into his human form and began walking toward the house. He knocked three times, and after a brief pause, the doorknob clicked, signaling someone’s presence on the other side. As he waited, he brushed off a few leaves that had clung to his shoulders during his journey.

"My Terry!"

An elderly woman, small in stature, greeted him with a radiant smile as she flung open the door. She practically jumped with joy, pulling him into a bone-crushing hug that left him struggling for breath.

"What brings you here, my grandson? Aren’t you supposed to stay within the pack boundaries?" she asked, glancing behind him with furrowed brows. "And you're all alone? Where’s your assistant, little Kai?" her weak voice softened as she gently caressed Taehyun’s cheek.

"I… I need to tell you something, something you never believed I would say, Grandma." Taehyun replied, his tone flat and serious.

His grandmother nodded, her smile unwavering. "Come inside, you must be thirsty after running all the way here on those little pup legs of yours. Hahaha!" she teased, playfully winking at him.

Taehyun clicked his tongue in mild annoyance and settled onto the green couch with a heavy sigh, his gaze following the elderly woman as she busied herself with preparing tea. The human boy didn’t mind him wandering through the woods, Beomgyu trusted him fully to return back, no matter where he ventured.

The elderly woman placed a steaming cup of tea in front of him before taking a seat on the opposite couch, her smile never fading from her wrinkled face.

"Take a sip first, Terry." she gently urged him.

Taehyun obliged, taking a sip of the daffodil lilac tea—his favorite drink. It was as comforting as ever.

"So, what's the secret you came here to tell me? Are you dating someone...?" his grandmother asked with a mischievous grin, causing him to choke on his tea.

"Oh my! Here, take a tissue." she said, handing him one as she laughed heartily. "You’re so easy to read, our little pup!"

"N-No… I'm not dating anyone, Grandma." Taehyun muttered defensively, wiping his mouth.

"Is that so...?" she responded, her playful smile fading into a more serious expression as her sharp senses kicked in. "Then how do you explain the scent of a human on you?" her eyes, once warm, now glinted with the curiosity and intensity of a seasoned wolf.

Taehyun sighed, knowing he couldn't hide anything from his grandmother, Kang Sora. She was the smartest of them all, renowned for her healing abilities and her skill in crafting potent antidotes for the pack. She was the heart of their community, just as his older brother Rocky was the head
