Rustling dried leaves.
Chilly growls.
Deep, guttural sounds.
Multiple rushing steps.
Mud splashing.
Twigs snapping.
All these sounds filled the air as Enha, along with Yeonjun and Soobin leading the search, meticulously moved through the forest in search of the missing lad—
Kang Taehyun.
The atmosphere within the vast, dark expanse of the forest grew increasingly tense and eerie. Their wolves footsteps were a symphony of stealth, the soft padding of many feet barely disturbing the underbrush. Occasionally, a twig snapped underfoot, the sudden crack echoing through the silent woods like a warning.
The wind whispered through the towering trees, carrying a chill that seemed to cut through the chilly air. Their deep, low growls blended with the wind, reverberating through the thick forest, hinting at the power and menace behind their silent approach.
It had been a month and a half since Yeonjun and Soobin began planning this. Ever since Rocky's return, their pack had descended into chaos. The pack leader had become more terrifying, with no one daring to approach him even a single touch. Fortunately, their business deals had kept the leader occupied, forcing him to focus on plans for a partnership with a new company they had been investigating.
However, something seemed off about this new emerging company. A thick black curtain hiding it's true identity.
In the present, in their wolf forms, they leaped gracefully over a fallen tree until they noticed a suspicious path. They stopped in their tracks, sniffing the air to survey for any threats that might interfere with their mission. Yeonjun and Soobin exchanged confused looks, dumbfounded by the odd tracks within their pack's territory.
"All clear. Let's go this way." Niki, one of the Enha members, announced. After hearing the order, they followed the smart pup, sprinting ahead into the strange path.
Time passed...
They all halted when they caught the scent of a herd of deer nearby and were bewildered to witness fifteen deer grazing outside a small, manmade wooden house.
Could someone be living near their territory?
Could it be a spy?
Those questions echoed in their minds as they stared at the mysterious house. They moved to the other side to transform back into human form, kneeling on the dirt ground and forming a circle.
"Looking at this area, we're here... This cabin is located just behind the eastern wing of the pack building." Heeseung explained, doodling in the mud with a stick to draw the location.
As they studied the cabin's location, it became clear that whoever had built this secret hideout was incredibly smart, possibly even brilliant. Yeonjun and Soobin exchanged bewildered glances, struggling to comprehend how other packs they had sent to search for Taehyun had missed this unknown trail leading to this bizarre location right behind the pack building.
