Nahida tightly held onto Wanderer's hat, the harsh wind almost knocked it out while grazing their faces. She held it with two hands, sitting on his shoulder and watching the bright blue ocean glistening under the sun.

Wanderer kept his arm draped over her knees, keeping her steady and silently admiring the view.

"We are finally seeing them again."

Nahida smiled excitedly and lifted her head, smelling the salty air she's grown used to these past, eight months.

It's already been eight months in this world. Nahida and Wanderer used this time to learn about Nen with Kite.

Even so, their learning was... Focused.

Kite only taught Wanderer two things regarding his Nen that he wanted perfected. Defense, and Aura attacks.

"Your Vision and how you use it is up to you."

Kite gestured to the notepad he held, the stick drawing with a large hat was throwing curved lines inside a protective sphere. Nahida chuckled at it, while Wanderer frowned.

"Wanderer, your attack and speed is exceptional. But you are weak against even the slightest amount of bloodlust directed at you. Which is why you need to keep up this protective sphere."

His finger drew a circle around Wanderer, who sat beside Nahida on the grass with a raised brow. Chin on his hand, elbow on his lap.

"You keep mentioning that..."

Kite nodded and lowered the pad. "I'll show you."

In an instant, Kite's hair rose on its own as a cold wind suddenly graced Wanderer's face. His eyes widened, jaw tense and he grabbed Nahida before he could process what was happening-

"That." Kite blinked and it vanished. That cold aura of death inches away from hitting Wanderer's face... Just gone like it was never there.

"Is bloodlust." Kite gaze softened when he saw Nahida clinging onto the arm Wanderer wrapped around her, just as startled. "Mine didn't mean to harm you. But if someone wanted to, they could kill a normal person without the Nen reflex necessary to protect themselves."

Wanderer frowned and loosened his hold on Nahida. "Can I also use it to protect her?"

Kite smiled slightly. "Of course."

Wanderer's focus on defense was met with Nahida's sole purpose as a support.

"Your mind works better than your body." Kite held his pencil and drew lines all over a fresh piece of paper in his notepad. "It's faster, sharper, so let's make sure you're capable of supporting Wanderer. First."

He nodded to himself and turned the paper to them, revealing a stick figure in a square dress and side ponytail. Wanderer chuckled slightly at it while Nahida smiled softly.

"We have to increase your reserved power with Nen. Then you'll be able to keep your current form and have plenty in cases of emergencies. If you hoard until September, I believe healing."

Kite moved his finger to the various shapes around Nahida. "Shielding, and other forms of support are possible. It all depends on your imagination and intelligence, Nahida."

She nodded earnestly. Kite lowered the notepad and held his hip. "In that case. Let us begin."

Their training was... Something. Nahida didn't really want to remember those months...

But their results spoke for itself. Wanderer's control over his Anemo Element Improved, and Nahida gained enough Nen to form a Nen Beast.

Like Kite's Clown Roulette, her creation was capable of independently gathering Nen for her and storing it in its body.
