After their successful job interview, they were handed a contract. They didn't need to sign immediately, which was a good sign. They had Leorio go through it while eating lunch.

Nahida watched him silently, reading her own contract with interest. The document was lengthy and descriptive. Leaving nothing to be interpreted, everything was clear.

These types of documents would help greatly in Sumeru...

She munched on her cookies just when Leorio handed back Gon's contract.

"Seems good."

Killua sipped on his soda, moving the straw away and used it to point at a section of the contract.

"The second part is interesting."

Leorio nodded and looked at the area before reading it out loud.

"Whatever object(s) are taken off the game will belong to mister Battera?"

Nahida nodded at Killua's suspicion. Saying it out loud while Killua stole a cookie from her plate. Biting it before realizing that, they were almond cookies...

"For it to exist, he must want something specific inside the game."

Killua handed the cookie back with a hum.

He was sure that old man wanted eternal youth or something similar. To waste so much money on expeditions, just to find game items... He's either stupidly desperate, or Greed Island is more than just a simple video game.

Gon slide his contract to himself.

"Whatever it is, it doesn't matter."

His eyes shined brightly along with his smile.

"I'm not interested in any item. I just want to know more about Ging."

His excitement was clear to everyone. Leorio gazed at him with a fond look while Killua huffed.

He shouldn't have expected anything else from Gon. Nahida didn't realize she had also smiled while looking at him.

Even though she normally wouldn't care about the items either, if it can help her reach Sumeru, she'll have to find a way to take it without Battera's knowledge.

After lunch, Leorio stroked Nahida's head before ruffling Killua's own and hugging Gon.

"Now, it's time I leave." Gon smiled sadly while Leorio waved goodbye. The kids waved back, seeing him off until the train he boarded was out of sight.

"Now." Killua took Nahida's hand and gently led her forward. Gon imitated his gesture and held her other hand.

"We should meet up with Tsezgerra. We've signed it, so he'll probably make us enter the game immediately."

Nahida gazed at their joined hands. Hers was much smaller than theirs, and the tender touch warmed her very soul.

She smiled and stayed quiet while the kids talked on the way there.

Once they arrived in the large building, they had to take an elevator with everyone else that was chosen. When the elevator opened, a dark room with covered windows and desks greeted them. In each of those tables was a computer and a Greed Island console.

Tsezguerra crossed his arms before explaining.

"You will enter one at a time. Only when the screen doesn't display 'tutorial' can the next player enter."

Nahida hummed, and watched Gon ask how the order would be decided. The man in a purple suit, who offered advice during the earlier test, proposed a game of rock, paper, and scissors.
