Gon had a swollen cheek, no doubt caused by a heavy punch. Nahida glanced at Hisoka with a frown, but the clown kept his eyes on Wanderer. He's been doing that a lot for some reason.
Whenever Wanderer was frowning, it was usually because of Hisoka's piercing gaze. There was only one possible reason for it. Nahida leaned closer to Wanderer.
"Hisoka seems to... Like you."
Wanderer 'ugh'ed at the possibility.
"Don't even joke like that..."
She chuckled at his reaction. She would have the same reaction as well. She pointed at their group of four, Wanderer huffed and walked over to them. He kept his eyes closed as Nahida greeted them.
Gon smiled brightly when he saw them, but his aching cheek made his smile falter.
"Hat Guy! You and Nahida were first! That's so cool!"
Nahida gestured to the ground, making Wanderer set her down. She went to the kids, with Kilua being the first to speak with a wide grin.
"How did you get Hanzo's badge?"
He wasn't expecting them to win against the ninja. Especially with Wanderer having to carry Nahida around like dead weight.
Nahida hummed in thought. "Well, it was purely luck."
Hanzo grumbled as he eavesdropped, agreeing with her even if he had lost fair and square…
“Duh.” Killua grinned innocently. “You would've lost in a fight against him.” His smile suddenly grew cold, like his dark, empty eyes. “Unlike me. I would easily win.”
Gon and Nahida glanced at each other, before the boy spoke up. “I got Hisoka's badge.”
Killua gestured to his own cheek. “Yet you survived. How??”
Gon smiled and calmly told them every last detail. Killua hummed with a proud smile, and Nahida eagerly listened with a bright gaze.
Wanderer frowned at the persistent gaze following him. He stood beside Leorio and Kurapika. One of which was far cleaner than the other… Leorio, he was covered in insect bites.
"Are you alright?" Kurapika noticed his dark scowl, and the not so clear avoiding on Wanderer's part.
Leorio nodded while taking a seat, no doubt tired out of his mind. “You don't look too good…” Wanderer glanced at him, just in time to see Leorio fall and start snoring on the boat's seat.
With a soft huff, Wanderer answered Kurapika.
"I'm fine."
He wasn't one to force a conversation. But that didn't mean he wouldn't complain when a clown keeps glancing his way with a proud smirk.
Is owning him such a big deal?
Wanderer crossed his arms and lowered his head.
"Just have a not so secret admirer..."
Kurapika immediately turned back to who it was. The blond frowned and turned back, like he hadn't looked at the devil straight in the face.
"... Well, at least... No, I'm sorry..." Kurapika's tone and small wince made Wanderer raised an eyebrow.
Now he's being pitied!? Wanderer turned to him with a scowl, but it quickly faded. Yeah, he is pitiful, having that clown's interest wasn't anything good...
Kurapika saw his quick change, and couldn't help himself from chuckling.
"Still, Hisoka isn't the type to court someone that wasn't worth it."
