The next phase was above a high tower. Wanderer held Nahida while they gazed down. This tower was taller than the clouds. In fact, they could see the white mist belonging to clouds beneath them.

Nahida blinked in amazement, wondering how the inside of the trick tower could be for the next phase to occur here…

They gazed back at the floor. Nothing but contestants greeted them.

Nahida watched Gon kneel on the floor and gaze down in wonder. “How do we get down?”

Kurapika hummed in thought beside him, Leorio silently frowned with disbelief. “There's no way they want us to get down from here…”

Killua gazed back at Nahida and Wanderer, seeing them start to walk away from the group. He frowned and watched Wanderer kneel on the ground.

He wanted to eavesdrop, but Gon caught his attention instead.

“Huh.” Wanderer pressed on the floor, but nothing seemed odd. “That old man?”

Nahida nodded and used her Elemental Sight, finding several mechanisms beneath the ground. Wanderer followed her lead while she recounted the previous hour.

Netero nodded at her answer and simply  placed the ball down and threw Gon's jacket over him. Even lowering the ship temperature so Gon could rest comfortably.

Only when he sat on the ground with his legs crossed, did he speak. “So, you're from another world?"

Nahida nodded and kneeled before Netero. Hands on her lap while watching him cautiously.

“Correct. I am from Teyvat, the land of Archons and Elemental powers.”

Netero hummed and crossed his arms. Eyes closed in thought. “I see… And?”

Nahida froze for a second. That's, it?

“You are not, surprised?”

Netero’s cheerful laughter echoed in the room. “When you live as much as I have, nothing surprises you anymore.”

Surely, another world was still something to ask questions about?

“Even so, you have taken it surprisingly well. Is there another reason for this reaction?”

Netero paused to observe her. “Child, I've seen more sights than you can imagine. Are you here to harm this world?”

Nahida hurriedly shook her head. Something about his tone made her run to reassure him.

“Not at all! We were, well… Brought her by someone. We are looking for a way home. We mean no harm.”

Netero laughed and nodded. “Good! So? What are the differences between our worlds?”

Nahida's worry was being raised and lowered like those switches Killua used to scare contestants…

She took a deep breath and answered. “Well, this world has more advanced technology. Especially this, aircraft and many other inventions I've seen along the way.”

Netero nodded nonchalantly, hand rubbing his beard. “I see, I see.”

Nahida clenched her hands. “I was wondering, is there a source of power here? In my world, we have Elemental powers. But it seems it doesn't exist here, but rather, something else.”

“That’s right.” Netero leaned into his palm, observing Nahida with a tilted head. “This power, is why I am not surprised.”

Netero pointed at her eyes. “I have met those with odd pupils, fought with those whose skin has symbols, and much more. All thanks to Nen.”
