Gon snapped his eyes open and abruptly sat up. The man beside him stopped reading his book to look at him. Satotz seemed to sigh in relief.
"You're finally awake."
Gon nodded. He looked around the room, seeing white walls and minimal decorations. But he got this sense, this feeling that something was... Odd. He turned to the man, his broken arm now inside a cast.
"Hey, Mr. Satotz, what happened after I passed out?"
Satotz hummed before taking out a black folder with the hunter logo.
"Before that, I believe this is now yours."
Gon watched Satotz open it for him, seeing a small card inside the slot. His hunter license! He remembered his victory, and how unfair it was for Hanzo... He looked up at the older man with a small frown.
"Mr. Satotz I-"
"Don't. This-"
He grabbed the card and placed it in Gon's hand before closing his fingers around it.
"-Is yours. You can sell or keep it. Until you feel worthy of using it."
Gon repeated those words inside his head before nodding gently. He took the card and repeated his question.
"What happened after I passed out? Who failed?"
Satotz lowered his gaze.
"Killua, and Bodoro failed."
Gon straightened his back. Killua? He frowned in disbelief and listened to Satotz's explanation. But the reason for Killua's failure, shocked him to the very core. His eyes were opened wide in shock, and worry.
"Killua... Injured Hat Guy?"
Wanderer's match was postponed, so Nahida could heal him, which resulted in Leorio fighting Bodoro. After a tricky fight, Leorio accidentally slammed his leg onto Bodoro's previous injury. Making the older man crumble and admit defeat.
Leorio passed, and that gave Nahida enough time to completely seal Wanderer's injury. The only indication he was injured, was the torn hole on his clothes. He sat up, Nahida quickly rising along in case anything went wrong.
Kurapika kept his hand behind Wanderer just in case, but he sat up just fine.
Luckily, Killua had managed to miss Wanderer's core. Whether it was an accident or not, it's something Nahida didn't care about at the moment.
While helping him back in Sumeru, she also found a core, his, 'heart,' so to say. The core is a sphere filled with Electro elemental energy. Nahida liked to call it a heart because it was his lifeline. Even if his whole body was destroyed and changed, Wanderer would survive if the core remained intact.
Nahida theorized that changing the core into a completely different body, wouldn't change Wanderer's personality. It would just give him a new appearance.
Interestingly enough, Wanderer didn't know he had that. Even with Dottore's investigations, the core was never mentioned to him.
Nahida had investigated his body and realized the core was Wanderer's 'heart,' and 'brain.' It makes Wanderer who he is.
And if Killua had managed to break it...
Hisoka shivered upon feeling her bloodlust, such a raging, and growing wrath... How magnificent....
He watched Wanderer pinch her nose, stopping the bloodlust and making her look at him.
"Calm down, you're making the creep stare."
