Chapter 43

CC's POV

I was shocked that she was on all these pills. But it seemed that she was fine now and yet she never talked about a sister. I looked up at Clara and said, "Why doesn't she talk about her sister like she does her brother?"

"She blames herself. She tried to stop the killer, but she was too young. I wish every day that I had taken them with me," said Clara.

It grew quiet again until I heard little feet walking down the stairs. Then I heard running and someone yelling, "Mommy!!!"

Damon ran to Kat, and she picked him up and said, "Hey little man, how are you feeling?"

"Good. Grandma gave me a picture of her, grandpa in heaven, daddy who's in heaven and also aunty. Where is Ry?" Damon asked.

Kat looked up and sighed and said, "She's in her room. I think she fell asleep."

"Can I go wake her?" Dam asked.

I saw Kat sighing as she said, "Why don't you take Uncle Ashley and show him where her room is, while I talk to your grandmother about something."

Ash nodded his head and took Damon out of the room and when they were gone Kate looked over at her mother and said, "Mom, Ry and I wanted to talk to you about something, I know what I'm about talk with you about, it might be hard but also good for all of us. Ry and I were thing about moving to Cali since CC and I are going to have a baby. Ry wants to move out there too, but you know how she is."

Clara sighed and said, "Where would we live? What about selling the house."

That's when I spoke up and said, "Well you can put the place up for sale and when you have sold it you can stay with me, Kat, Dom, and Ry. Though Ry might be with Ashley for most of the time. Kat and Ry also must sell their place as well. And you don't have to do it right away, just before the baby is born."

Clara smiled and said, "That would be good. My late husband and I always planned on moving when the children were old enough to live on their own. I guess after the holidays I'll start picking the place up."

"Mom, you don't have to worry about moving the beds. We can leave them for the new owners, and I know just the person who always wanted this place," said Ry as she walked over and took her seat.

Clara looked at her and said, "Who would that be?"

"Max and his girlfriend Sal. Max found out she was pregnant, and he asked to marry her. I know this place is worth a lot of money and Max always said if you and dad sold the place he would buy it," said Ry.

"That would be a good idea. Let's just worry about the holidays. So, invite Max over. So where are you all doing for the holidays?" Clara asked.

I looked up and said, "my parents would like to come here for Thanksgiving and also Christmas."

Ash sighed and said, "I'm heading back to see my family the day before Thanksgiving then I'll be back on Sunday."

It went like that, everyone telling where they wanted to go, and I was shocked that most of them would be here for Christmas and new year's. Clara seemed to be happy that Ry was happy. I looked over at my sister and I couldn't help but wonder what life would have been like if she had grown up with me instead of here. Would she still fall for Ash or not? Would she be a drummer like me? Would she be happy with a crazy big brother who tends to take the word fun to a whole new level? All these thoughts ran through my mind until Kat kicked me. I looked at her and she smiled and said, "Andy was talking to you and you just zoned out."

Ry's POV

Later in the afternoon Ash and I were back at my apartment. He was making sure that everything was set for his trip home in a few weeks. I just laid on my bed and thought about everything. I wonder how I would be able to sleep without him being here. I glanced at my homework and sighed while I knew that today was Sunday and I've been thinking about just transferring everything over onto online classes.

I closed my eyes and a few minutes later Ash walked into my room and sat down and said, "hey babe."

I smiled and said, "Hey Ash."

He laid down and said, "Well I'm leaving about 1pm on the 25, a few days earlier than I wanted to. At least today is only the 1."

I looked at him and said, "Nice. I have about 23 days with you."

I didn't open my eyes and he said, "I'm taking you out tonight. So, if I were you, you be-"

"Ash, can we talk about something since no one is around," I asked him.

"What is it?" Ash asked me.

I sat up and said, "Did you use a condom the night we had sex?"

Ash pulled me to him and said, "I don't remember. I know we slept with each other twice. If I didn't use a condom and you are pregnant, I'll be here with you. I know that with your past you're scared, but I will protect you. I will always protect what is mine."

He told me. I kissed him and soon that kiss turned into passion which ended up with both of us stripping off our clothes.
