Chapter 44

Ry's POV

I woke up the next day and noticed that Ashley wasn't in bed with me. I just got up and walked into my bathroom and took a hot shower. When I was done, I wrapped a towel around my body and looked at myself. I took a good hard look at myself and thoughts of me being a mother went through my mind, but I pushed them aside and went to get dressed.

I decided to put all the baby thoughts out of my mind. I walked to my door, but stopped when I heard CC, Kat and Ashley talking.

"Ashley, do you have any idea what you're doing? She's been hurt before and you not wrapping it each time you two are together, she might get her hopes up. I don't want her to," Kate said.

"I know. But I feel bad. I couldn't sleep last night because I thought about what if she were pregnant, what would I do. I'm known as the party womanizing boy. What would the fans think if I did settle down," said Ash.

"Ash, if-" CC started to say.

"Just think things through Ash. I haven't seen her this happy before. Just don't hurt her Ash," said Kate.

"When are you going to tell her that the airlines made a mistake and you're heading home on the 6 instead the 25th," said CC.

"I just found out this morning. I was planning on telling her tonight. I know you're pissed but it's not my choice," said Ash.

It grew quiet and Kate said, "I think that you need to talk to her or just make up your damn mind. I don't want her to go off these meds again and do something stupid. I can't go through that, and I don't want to put Dam though that."

I had enough. I put on my shoes and took the fire escape out of my locked windows. I climbed out of window and down the fire escape hatch and landed on the ground. I took off running. I didn't care where I was going but I needed to get food. I walked into the café and saw Max and his girlfriend Sally or Sal.

I walked over to them, and Max looked at me and said, "What the hell happened Ry?"

I couldn't talk because I was crying. Max got up and hugged me and said, "Sally can you get some hot chocolate for her. I'll pay you back love."

"Don't worry babe. She's your sister and soon she'll be my sister," Sally said.

Max got me to sit down and clean up my face and said, "Cy what's wrong?"

"I don't want to go back to the apartment or my mother's house. They'll look for me there. Max, I heard them talking. I wanted a blade, but I ran," I told him.

"Cy what happened that made you want to try and pick up the blaze. What were they talking about?" Max said,

I looked down and said, "Since the night CC, Kate, and the band came home. Ash and I have been together. Ash and I didn't use protection, but it doesn't matter to me if we did or didn't. This morning I got up and I heard Kat, CC, and Ash talking. Kat told Ash that he needed to make up his mind, and CC was pissed because we haven't been using protection. Then Kat said that she's never seen me this happy before and told him that I better not go off the pills and do something stupid again because she couldn't bear to see it happen again and she doesn't want Dam to see me that way. It's like they are treating me like a child. I'm sick of it and I'm done. Kat thinks I can't handle a child when I was the one who raised Dam after he was born because he looked too much of my brother. She left her child with me and my mother for 2 and half years. Now she's pregnant again and I worried about what move she'll pull this time."

Max hugged me and said, "Calm down. Everything will be fine. I'm sure that what you heard was wrong. Maybe they were talking-"

"Max, you have known me how long now?" I asked him.

Sally came back with my hot chocolate and noticed that I had calmed down to a point. I sighed and said, "Thanks for the hot chocolate. But I got to go and find a place to stay tonight."

I got up to leave when Max said, "You can stay with us tonight to clear your head. I'll swing by your house, once I get you and Sally back you and you can question her like I promised you."

I nodded my head because I knew if I said no, Max would yell at me. Yet on the Brightside I get to question Sally for a while and maybe go over what happened in my head again. I drank some more of my hot chocolate and watched as everything seemed to slip by.

MAX's POV

I drove Sally and Ry to my place for the night. It was only noon, so I drove over to Kat's and Ry's apartment and knocked on the door. Kat opened the door and said, "Hey Max, Ry's not here right-"

"I know where she's at Kat. I need to talk to you, your boyfriend and Ashley," I told her while looking right into her eyes.

Kate moved aside and let me in and went to the kitchen to get the two boys. They came out and sat on the couch across from me. Kat sat down and said, "I was worried about her. Everyone had been trying to find her, the others were walking around the streets to see if they could find her. I should have known she would run to you."

"What do you mean by that Kat," said Ash.

I glanced at him and noticed that he was pissed. CC looked at me and then at Ash and shook his head. Kat looked down and said, "when she would get upset or heard people talking about her in one way she would run. I don't how she does it, but she would run until she found Max. I guess you could say that he's her go to guy when she needs someone male who isn't her brother or related to her."
