Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Ry's POV

CC just left my mother's house after asking me if I wanted to go on tour with him and his band. I was scared because I wanted to get to know my brother, yet I didn't feel comfortable about leaving my mother, Kate, and Damon. I was still thinking about everything even after leaving my mother's house to head to my home. CC's parents, or I should say our parents left to go back home and CC promised them that he would being me to stop by when we were in town or close to their hometown.

Looking at my TV I wasn't really paying attention to what was on. I then jumped onto laptop and started to through some fan-fiction stories to fine something read and my brain didn't want to work because I kept on thinking about what CC had asked me; At the same time, I just wanted to know if everything will be fine when or if I even decide to leave with CC and the guy's next week. Ugh why did things have to be so damn hard.

The rest of the day passed, and I just stayed in the living room. I didn't feel like getting up and doing anything. Hell, I couldn't even think about the tour. I felt like I was going crazy.

I jumped with a start when my phone went off. I looked down at the caller Id and noticed that it was CC calling me. I picked up my phone and answered it.

"Hey Ry, I was wondering if it's okay if the guys come over with their girlfriends?" Asked CC.

I glanced around my place and said, "Sure. I guess. But I don't have much food to make for everyone and I'm not very social."

"Don't worry about it. We'll be over around four. We all can chill, and I can cook dinner for all of us, or something." He said again.

I looked at the time and noticed that it was 3:15 Pm and my apartment was a mess, and I was tired. But at least I can clean this place up and maybe get ready within 10 minutes before they get here.

"Yeah okay. So, it'll be just me, you and the guy's girlfriends. So, four o'clock then?" I asked to make sure I got the time right.

"Yeah, four o'clock, so me and the guys well run to the store and be right over. So, see you then sis." Said CC.

I hung up and jumped up and started to clean my apartment and once that was done, I looked at the time and it was only 3:45 PM, so I walked over to my bedroom and pulled on some black jeans and pulled on my black dress shirt. Pulled my blue purple hair down and just ran the brush though it and pulled it up into a ponytail. I put on some black eyeliner and some mascara. Then placed my sword with a rose wrapped around it necklace on. I pulled on some black boots, and I looked at myself and realized that it was the outfit that my brother got me before he died. The one that I never wanted to wear because he never got to see me in it.

I was about to change when I heard knocking at my door. Sighing and looking at myself one last time I walked out of my room and closed the door to head over to my front door and open it. When I did, I saw CC, Jake, Jinxx, Andy, and Ashley with three girls. I let them in, and it was quiet for the longest time until CC looked at everyone and said, "Hey Ry this is Jinxx and his girlfriend Sammi, Jake and his girlfriend Ella, Andy and his girlfriend Juliet. And you know Ashley."

I smiled and said hi to them. Sammi and Ella were very welcoming and nice. Juliet seemed kind of quiet. I then noticed that CC brought a lot of food, then it danged on me that CC was going to make something for dinner.

"So, I guess I'll show you guys to the kitchen then," I said quietly.

We walked into the kitchen and Sammi looked at me and said, "This is a really nice apartment, but I noticed there are four bedrooms, why is that?"

I froze on my task of showing CC where everything was while everyone was sitting on the stools around the island. I looked away and said, "I bought this apartment with my brother, his girlfriend Kate. The third bedroom was for my mom when she didn't want to stay over at the house by herself. The fourth bedroom was where my brother did all of his work, when he found out about Kate being pregnant, he started packing all of his things to the office so he could turn the bedroom into a nursery."

It was half true, my brother did buy the apartment, I had my own room here along with my mother when she didn't want to drive home late at night. The study was slowly going to be turned into a nursery but that never happened.

"Ry why did he work from home?" Asked CC.

"I'm sorry but I'm not ready to talk about those reasons yet. Anyways this place is now mine, so I was working a lot until my landlady or landlord started having trouble with trying to remember who paid rent when, so I started to help them until their daughter Emily came around and talked with me. I told her I would help out her parents, so I started to collect the rent and then Emily and her parents told me not to worry about my rent because I've been hired to be the manager, so that's what I've been doing, though I don't get paid, but I also have a part time job for an online website."

Sammi and Ella started to talk with everyone, and I drifted away from the group of people talking and I walked over to my laptop and picked it up and noticed that a new Ghost Hunt fanfiction had updated. I started to read the chapter when I felt someone sitting next to me. Glancing away from my screen and noticed that CC was sitting next to me, and Ashley was standing next to him.

"Why aren't you talking?" Asked CC.

I didn't say anything and went back to reading my story. I didn't feel like talking because I almost gave myself away again. Then my phone went off. Glancing at the caller Id I noticed that it was Kate.

"Hey Kate, what's wrong?" I asked her while trying to read the ghost hunt fanfiction.

"I just called to see if Damon could come and stay the night, he can sleep in mother's room because-"

"You're on speaker and I have company that is CC and his band," I warned her so that she wouldn't say something stupid.

"Oh, yeah so Damon wanted to see you so is it okay?" She asked.

"Sure. Um Okay cool." I told her.

"Ry please tell me you told them no alcohol is allowed?" She asked.

Everyone stopped talking and I got up and walked to my room and closed the door and took her off from speaker and told her, "No I didn't. So, bring Damon over any time you want."

"Ry I'm sorry-" she started to say.

"Don't worry about it, Kate. We all have our demons and I'm still dealing with mine."

We ended the conversation and I just walked over to my desk and picked up a picture of me and my brother. It was one of the last ones we took of each other. I didn't hear anyone walk in until I felt someone pull me to them.

Looking up I noticed that it was CC. He looked at me and said, "What's wrong?"

"I don't know. I think this is a mistake. Everything. I don't think I can go with you guys on tour. I'm sorry." I whispered to him.
