Ry's POV

When I left the graveyard, I slowly walked over to my mother's house. I was still debating if I should call my birth parent's mom and dad. As I was walking to my mother's house, I felt relieved because I felt like I shouldn't have to worry about what other people think about me. Thinking back to the last time I felt this free, was when my brother would sneak me out of the house to see some concerts. Before he met Kate and after.

"Ry you finally made it back," Yelled mother.

I smiled at her and noticed that CC, and his friends, and our parents were there. It felt weird being related to CC, the crazy fun-loving member from black veil brides. Cc looked over at me and smiled.

The BBQ went great. Everyone was getting to know each other, till my Uncle James looked at my real parents and said, "Mr. and Mrs. Mora why did you adopt Ry out and yet you kept your son. I would like to know why?"

I noticed that both of my biological parents froze and looking at one another and my mother, Angela, looked at my uncle and said, "The hospital messed up. They thought that Ry was the baby born to the dead mother, and the dead mother's child was ours. We didn't realize until a few years later."

"Uncle please don't ask them those questions," I said to him.

My uncle was my mother's brother. We didn't get along all too well. We had an understanding and one that kept peace within our family. Uncle James looked at me and said, "I wanted to know what happened and I want the truth. I mean you started looking for your family right after your brother's death, tell them the real reason why you started looking for your true family. Because the truth of the matter is that you couldn't deal with the loss of your brother."

I froze and didn't bother to look at anyone as I walked inside my mother's house and went to my room and shut and locked the door. I couldn't tell anyone about the real reason that I wanted to look for my real family. Truth was my brother started this whole mess and he made me promise him that I would look for them. He knew that I wanted to know where I come from and wanted to learn more about myself.

"Ry can I come in?" Asked CC.

I didn't answer. I couldn't answer because I was too embarrassed about the truth, I didn't want the truth to come out. But that was part of the truth. I just wanted to know who they were and if I had any siblings.

Ashley's POV

I watched as Ry walked away when her uncle confronted her about the real reason. I watched as CC walked inside the house after Ry, I even watched as Ry's adopted mother yelling at her brother. Then the little boy whose name is Damon stayed close to his mother and he looked like he was crying very quietly. Kate picked him up and went to put him in his room.

"Ashely, do you think her uncle is telling the truth?" asked Andy's girlfriend.

"I'm not sure and it's not my place. All I do know is that when CC found out he had a sister he was happy, however since we met her and all, it seems she has a past and a past that is still haunting her to this day. " I told her.

Ry's adopted mother walked over to CC's parents and said, "I'm sorry about James, but ever since I've lost my husband and then my son, he's grown protective over me, and it seems that Ry pushed him away. I don't know what happened, but it seems like he believes that Ry should be punished."

I didn't realize that Kate was standing next to me while she was trying to calm Ry's mother down. Kate looked over at me and said, "Can you see what's going on with CC? I'm sorry to bother you but I don't feel like leaving Clare alone."

I looked up at Kate and smiled at her and said, "Don't worry about it. I can go and check on CC. I'm a little worried about him as well and he has been in there for a while with Ry."

"Thank you, Ashley," she said to me.

I walked into the house and heard voices upstairs. Walking up to them I saw Ry and CC talking. Ry was crying while she was talking to him. CC had his arms around her, and he was holding her.

"Hey CC, is everything okay man?" I called out to him because I didn't want to sneak up on them.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just trying not to hit her uncle in the face." CC told me while Ry was still crying silently.

"Kate was worried about you two because Damon is asleep." I told them.

I just walked away and back down the stairs and waited in the kitchen. I couldn't believe how beautiful Ry looked. I've been crushing on her since I met her at the bar when she ran out because of those punks talking about her.

"Ash, I need to talk to you and the rest of the guys about something. So can we have a band meeting tonight at some point?" asked CC as he walked in without Ry.

"I guess, but what's going on with you and Ry?" I asked him.

CC looked at me with a sad look and said, "Her uncle. He's been an asshole to her ever since her brother died and to make it worst, he tried to talk Clare into putting Ry away. Ry told me that there was a reason for trying to find me, but it wasn't for fame. I guess she felt out of place, and she keeps to herself a lot. Plus, she wanted to know where she came from."

"Wow that's crazy." I said, but I could tell that was part of it was a lie and the other part was the truth.

"Ash if I tell you something will you promise me that you won't tell anyone else." Asked CC.

"What it is?" I asked him.

"Clare, Ry's mother, well she has cancer. It's bad. They don't know if she'll make it though. She wanted to know her real parents and also, she wanted her real parents to accept her, Kate, and Damon." Said CC.

I couldn't say anything. It seemed that no matter how much Ry looks happy I could tell that deep down that she was sad. I can read people pretty good, and, in this case, I can tell that something was off when James said something. We sat in the kitchen for a minute when he heard Damon walking down the stairs yelling, "Uncle CC help me. Ry is going to get me."

Damon ran into CC's arms just as Ry ran in with a smile on her face. She looked over at CC and said, "Da no fair."

"Haha Ry.," said Damon.

Damon turned and looked at me and said, "Who are you?"

CC looked at him and said, "I'm Ashley, you can call me Ash. I'm CC's band mate and friend."

Damon looked at me and said, "Are you going to take Ry from me as well?"

We all laughed, and CC said, "No Ash won't because he has to go through me little man."
