Drunk and A Little High

I heard Julian gulp nervously. "Wanna play", Fab asked, walking into the room with a blunt in between his fingers. I agreed but it took some convincing for Julian to play. I was only excited because there was one other girl, the girl I saw in the kitchen with Nick early. And with only two girls, that ment the guys had a high chance of kissing each other.

"I need another beer", Julian said under his breath, chugging the rest of what he had left. "You want another", he asked me. I said sure and he told everyone he would play after he came back.

I joined the rest of the circle, sitting in between Fab and Nikolai. Julian came back with a bottle of Jack and a cup of beer. "I needed something a little stronger", he said while he handed me the cup and sat next to Nick and Albert.

Fab sat to my left, next to him was Nick and then Julian and Albert. The blonde was between Nickolai and Albert.

"Wanna hit", Fab asked me holding up the blunt. I shrugged and took a small puff, wanting to be as sober as possible for this moment.

I saw Julian watching me as I blew out the smoke in the corner of my eye. Fab passed it around and when it came to me again, I declined. "Okay lets start playing", Nick cheered.

"I have an idea. Maybe every time it lands on the two people who have to kiss, they have to take a shot", I said, feeling a little lighter than usual from the funny cigarette.

Everyone seemed to like my idea so we went a long with it. Soon, Fab kissed Nick, Nickolai kissed Albert, Julian kissed Fab, and I had kissed that blonde, who's name was Amanda.

It was the final round. Nick spun the bottle and it landed on me. We both took a swig of burning alcohol and kissed. Julian was looking at us, he looked...upset. Jealous. Everyone but Julian was laughing.

Soon they were all shitfaced, except for me. When my turn came around, I would pretend to take a shot, just so I could see them get drunk. But I was a little tipsy. Julian had drank and smoked more out of all of us.

After we finished playing we all sat there and listened to music. Jefferson Airplane was playing.

Julian was sitting in the corner, talking
to Albert, smoking a cig. I was talking to Amanda, who was pretty nice and we soon became friends. Nick came and sat with us. "Hello ladies", he said, putting his arm around Amanda's shoulder.

I looked over at Julian, who didn't seem to interested in whatever Albert was saying but he'd smile ever so slightly to show he was still listening. "Don't worry about him. But I should warn you that Julian's drinking can get out of hand sometimes. We don't know what kind of drunk he is, he's unpredictable", Nick said.

"So he drinks a lot", I asked. "Sometimes but Julian's a good guy", he said almost like he didn't want my perspective of Julian to change now that I've learned this information. I nodded my head and went over to talk to Julian. He looked up and gave me a little smile, his eyes half closed.

"Hey", I said sitting next to him. He didn't reply, he just smiled. "Sup Maya", Albert said, clearly stoned. "I'm done tryna talk to you man, take good care of him for me will ya", Albert said to me. "Sure." And he went to lie down on the bed with Fab.

We just sat there for a while, not saying anything. "Thanks for bringing me here Jules." I said breaking the silence.

"No problem. I think they like you, but like sexually", Julian said quietly, like he was telling me a secret. I laughed, nudging his side. "But come on, with that outfit. You look great in that outfit. You look beautiful in that outfit. Albert said you looked sexy", Julian slurred, placing his head on my shoulder.

I gave him a confused smile. "And I told Albert that there's a difference, beauty and sexy aren't the same thing. I have to admit that you do look really hot in that, but I think you look pretty. He said I was being a softy, right before he started talking about how beautiful his girlfriend is. That coward." He laugh softly through his nose.

I let out a chuckle and looked at Julian. He lifted his head up, his eyes droopy and he smelled like alcohol. "Julian you're just drunk and a little high", I said. He leaned in, I could smell the Jack Daniels in his breath, burning my nostrils. "Maybe I am", he whispered, centimeters away from my lips. I breathed in sharply, looking at his lips.

"Woohoo go Julian", Fab cheered from Nick's bed. Fab was as high as a kite and had been lying on Nick's bed looking up at the ceiling since we stopped playing. Julian laughed, still close to me but backed away to yell at Fab to shut up.

Julian was smiling to himself when he pulled the bottle of Jack from behind him. "Will you share this drink with me", he asked with his raspy voice. I accepted and we passed the bottle back and forth.

We started talking about deep shit, philosophical shit. And for someone who wasn't sober, he made some good points.

I would only take small sips because I wanted to be sober during this conversation with Julian. I just loved the way he talked. After we talked for what felt like awhile, I looked over at the clock. It was 12, a lot earlier than I expected.

Dancing With Myself by Billy Idol came on. I looked over at Julian and smiled. I got up, taking off my heals, and started dancing. He was watching me, laughing.

Fab got up too and we were both dancing. I was laughing hysterically at Fab's dance moves. Everyone else in the room was just watching us. They were all laughing too.

I pulled on Julian's arm for him to join me but he wouldn't. He just laughing and said no. "Come on Jules, dance with me please", I pleaded, giving him puppy eyes. "With that face, I can't resist", he said standing up and dancing with Fab and I.

Julian held my hand as we jumped. He twirled me around. Then he twirled Fab and Fab twirled back into his arms. "Hold me Julian, like you did that one night", Fab slurred. "Shut up man, you're high." Julian chuckled.

When the song ended we all collapsed on the floor. The Cure's Friday I'm In Love came on and I was singing along with it. Julian was singing with me too.

He had this deep raspy voice that melted into my ears and made me shiver. I've never wanted to kiss Julian more than I have now. I smiled at him as he sang to me.

"But it's Friday, I'm in love", we sang at the same time.

"Guys, Nick and Amanda are having a hardcore make out session. We should probably get out before anything happends", Albert screamed. Nick flipped him off, still kissing Amanda.

I helped Julian up and got my heels, walking out of the room. "Use a condom", Julian said as we walked out. I giggled and walked Julian to the couch, he was too fucked up to walk straight. "Jules maybe we should go, it's almost one", I said to him. He nodded his head before taking a swig of the reeking alcohol he still had in his hands. The bottle was nearly empty.

He set it down on the coffee table infront of us. Fab walked in, hold on to Albert. Albert sat him down on a small settee and he sat with him. In a matter of seconds, they were out cold.

Nikolai walked in holding his head. "Dude where have you been, I thought you left a long time ago", I said to Niko. "Nah I fell asleep under Nick's bed but then I heard the springs squeak and got out of there as soon as possible."

Nikolai then walked into the kitchen and took a beer. He put on his jacket and said, "Well see you two later. Don't tell Nick I stole his beer. Bye." And with that, we were left alone until we heard a loud moan from Nick's room.

"I really don't want to hear them have sex, can we go now", Julian asked, barely awake.

"Sure", I said, pulling him up. He had his arm around my shoulder and I held onto his waist. I grabbed my bag and heals and screamed, "You two have fun!" before walking out of Nick's apartment.
