"Is this a kind of joke?" I nervously laughed. I never had a single person to love me until I met Jax. So I didn't think much about accepting him and his way of showing love. But now it was different.
I already have someone, and this man cannot be trusted.
He didn't respond to my question and just tried to lock my eyes with his intense stare.
"I... You... You don't love me. You are faking things. I can sense that." I muttered.
"Grab your hand, pull you to a bar, and try to do all the shit possible in a single day—is that what you call love?" He asked a question for which I couldn't answer.
"I might tell him as an as____." He gulped his words and added, "I don't even want to curse someone before you. I love you, and that's it. I will not let some rogues be on your side. Bye," he said, slammed his car door, and went away.
I was standing on the street like an idiot, as I had so much to process with my little brain.
Tring tring tring
The ringtone of my phone took me to consciousness. I started walking to a nearby grocery store and attended the call. As usual, it was from Aara.
"How dare you cut my phone?" She screamed in anger.
"Sorry. I got a call from Jax." I said it still, with the thoughts of Enzo's proposal on my mind.
"Is something up right now?" She could sense my mood even when I was miles away.
"Yup! Now I have two people who love me." I blurted.
"Hey! Do you have a group of Cupids that favor you? I am not even getting a single proposal." She sighed.
"Hmmm." I couldn't find words in my mental dictionary as I had so many other things to process.
"Who is the second guy?" She asked excitedly.
"Enzo, the grandson of our school's chairman." I said it still, with shock and disbelief at what I heard moments ago.
"Hey! Is he the one who caught you with Jax?" She asked, for which I said, "Yes."
"Can't he find a single girl like me instead of loving a committed girl like you?" She was thrilled and excited by my love triangle.
"Okay, what are you planning to do? Who is going to be your Romeo?
"I always tell you that I will love the person who loves me. But I never had anyone until I met Jax. But now I have more than him."
"Yes. What are you trying to tell here?" She asked with an anticipated voice.
"Can't I have both?"
"Whhhhhaaaaaaatttttt????"
