Composed by Gobeithiol Ysbryd (304, OA19,370).

Humanity - despite their outward, childish attachment to the Universe - are a complex species. Since the time of our first encounter, they have always been governed by a consistent nature. A curiosity about the unknown. A stubborness for the traditional. And a chronic forgetfulness of their past. It is a byproduct of their mortality, made even more potent by their inability to see beyond their short lifespan. They are united in individualism. An individualistic population spanning more than a hundred civilisations.

As it is Humanity's nature to profilerate like parasites, it is Calan nature to nurture life. Our representatives across the Chapters of Humanity have imparted valuable knowledge and wisdom on the leaders of the many nations. Burdensome is the challenge bestowed on the Calan; to shepherd people away from disillusion into the calmness of peace. Humans are nonetheless competetive and use cunning to confirm that trait.

Their fallibility reigns as the Llywydd is compelled to enact the Calan Recall. This is not capitulation in the face of mindless adversity, but a tactic by Tywysydd to placate Humanity and maintain influence in an alternate form. There is greater efficiency in convincing mankind from their own shadows, rather than censure them as virtuous immortals. This is the priority of Isdyfiant.

Loyalty blossoms from moments of singularity; turning points in history. Descendants of those who've witnessed Calan altruism, or nonconformists who have discovered solace and meaning through their commitment to the Coeden. These agents are the solitary roots sprouting in every corner of Human civilisation that will ensure its survival.

Isdyfiant - or Undergrowth as it will be known to agents - is the remaining influence of the Calan. Without it, the Universe will collapse into never-ending chaos.
