Many days have transpired following the stranger's grand declaration of impending invasion on our people. In that time, Wanderer has been granted freedom of the Royal Citadal by her Majesty, Queen Pendragon, despite protestations from her loyal Legislature. Once confined to the Western District, our esteemed guest emulates her title by traversing the city of her own freewill. Speechmaster Fletcher has been assigned to observe her perambulations, but there are significant passages of time in which she has seemingly vanished into the Wilderness beyond the Protectors of Avalon.
In lieu of Wanderer's warnings, the Queen has ordered preparations to be made to fortify our Citadel. Forgemaster Waterman has martialled the forces and commenced regular training in the courtyards of Camelot. Select troops are stationed at the outposts; filled for the first time in centuries. The city sings of metal as the craftmakers toil daily on the creation of new weaponry that might deter any enemy. Escape routes are planned for the populace, with the catacombs as a designated area for all three tiers of the Citadel to take shelter in the event of a genuine assault.
Despite this scrupulous effort, Wanderer offers nothing but criticism. Claims of inadequacy are made, while she toys with her magical trinkets and befouls our fotress with unfathomable technology. Even Her Majesty was persuaded to allow Wanderer to climb the Temple of the Round Table, which was promptly desecrated by a crude installation. Debris continued to be collected from the surrounding water gardens. As Sagemaster, it pains me to see such destruction permitted against structures of historical Avalonian significance.
The only facet protecting Wanderer from persecution is her supposed affiliation with the Gods of Annwn. Creditmaster Oakes has become an unwitting ally to the foreigner in the strange politics of this arrangement and defends her every decision as a protrated act of their deities. Perhaps this is Myrddin's will, but is difficult to place one's entire belief into a single messengers of the Gods, and should this account be consumed, let it be known that I was not swindled by Wanderer's exaggerated status, nor convinced by the veracity of her warnings.
But I remain forver faithful to the royal family of Pendragon...
