Cloudcutter Magazine - Freak Weather in North Crin

Local authorities are warning residents in North Crin and those in the higher altitudes around the Blanc mountain range to evacuate their homes immediately. Meteorologists are blaming vast water accumulation from Meréclat along with low pressure in the area for a significant increase in snowfall.

Around twenty-five centimetres of snow has fallen, leading to avalanche warning in the Crin valley. The E'blanche government has issued an emergency evacuation notice, and funds are being allocated to temporary housing for those displaced by the freak weather.

Expert Sir James Chappelle, based in Crin, explains that the warmer summer in the northern hemisphere of E'blanche has led to an increase in the volume of moisture contained within the atmosphere. "The recent crash of U2-Fly has meant that we're unable to actively track weather formations, but we are certain the unusually warm summer is taking us towards a very wet, or in this case freezing, winter."

The E'blanche Military Force are participating in the evacuation and assisting any persons in need. In the event of persistent snowfall, the Force will be conducting controlled avalanches to alleviate the danger to life. However, wind speeds have already limited the military's capabilities as parts of the famous Mount Pyramidale climbing route has been demolished.

Local resident, Nancy Duhamel, spoke of the terryfing moment she had when taking her dog for a walk. "I live in the Four Peaks Flats, and the road next to the towers has completely frozen over. I had to carry Winnie because it was so cold. Every day here now is like walking through clouds, you can't see the tops of the buildings or any of the trees on the mountainside. The worst winter I've experienced in my life!"
