Tanwen's power is of immesurable importance. The birth of Calan, the sustenance of Sylfaenydd. Hollwedd - our ability to comprehend the Universe around us - is only present due to the blessing of our Seren and its intimate connection with the Craigfywyd of our origin. Beyond the atmosphere of Sylfaenydd, space is a vast desert where neither Tanwen's energy nor influence can thrive.

However, in the absence of Tanwen, Craigfywyd remains our constant succour. Where there is darkness, light is contained. It can be unlocked from the very roots of our creation. Used wisely, the Saeru have devised methods of transportation which can harness the concealed power of Craigfywyd at any location throughout the Universe. Segments of our creations lie undisturbed among the many Human civilisations; memories of past labours.

Castell is the culmination of thousands of years of experimentation. A mass of Craigfywyd, cultivated under the luminosity of Tanwen, suspended in space. Despite a great distance from our homeworld, its structure pulsates with equal competence, as if the Coed of Coedwig are growing within. Situated in stationary orbit between Arena and Hannerbell, its body is in constant motion, like the vibrations of an Alawcloch.

The Alaw was over five rotations in composition; a melody so grand and complex that it required sixty-four Saeru to accomplish. Craigfywyd is a stubborn material and has a delicate quantum structure that cannot be forced. Only seduced. In the wilderness of the vacuum, there is nothing but the invisible threads of reality contorted by matter. Positioning Castell has taken a meticulous balance of energy; a dance shared between Tanwen and Sylfaenydd.

Ten spires rotate in harmony around a central sphere - one for every inhabited planetary system. Each contains an embedded history of the Chapters of Humanity scattered throughout the galaxy. Our bond with Humanity may be temporarily severed, but millennia of friendship supercedes any recent animosity. Castell is a gift and a reminder that the Calan will forever assist them should they require us again. This was Llywydd Cyson Tywysydd's request.
