A strange encounter unfolded this night. Fire not unlike the conjurings of Myrddin rained from the sky. Rousing the city, the contraption disappeared over the mountain border, out of sight. Rumours travelled like the wind of a message from Annwn. A message of death and doom.
Brave soldiers scoured the border for the fiery remains, but none unveiled themselves. Not until the stranger arrived, garbed in other-wordly attire, and hauling with them a collection of outlandish objects. They claimed to be beyond the heavens. A messenger from the Gods.
The exalted inhabitants of Annwn are rare in their portents, however this stranger is too anomalous to deny. Words like the enigmas of Camelot, and articles that perplex the mind. They demonstrate an aversion to our customs, but are in equal measure versed in our history.
The Queen will require prior confirmation of the visitor's credibility, but for now this is the start of a new chapter in Avalonian life. The disciple of our saviours has arrived.
Clifford Maxwell
Sagemaster of the Queen's Legislature.
