It has been more than a Calan-month since Prince Everett Mentari's horrific murder, and the royal family continue to demand answers. As do the adoring fans of the late Prince.
A spokesperson for the High Magistrate Reuel Mentari, said the family are "inconsolable" and "angered" by the so-called "incompetency" of the Sunda Metropolitan Police. Despite considerable security presence at the Istana Para Raja, the suspect was able to enter the building undetected.
Internal footage leaked by an unknown person appears to show the identity of the Prince's attacker. Public speculation has led to accusations that a member of Penumbra - the notorious bounty hunter league - was responsible. However, Commissioner Wira Hidalgo insists that any speculation should not be considered truth unless validated by the Police.
Questioned on the possible motive of the suspect, the Commissioner remained tight-lipped. "We are still in the early stages of the investigation. This has been a long and difficult process, for everyone involved. At this point in time, we can only remind people to keep their thoughts with the High Magistrate and his family."
Aged just sixteen, Prince Everett Mentari was already a popular figure amongst the Indonesian colony. An accomplished triathlete along with a career in music and interplanetary entertainment media, the Prince had established a repertoire of talent. This was despite his humble beginnings before adoption by the Indo Magistrate.
A mourner and outspoken supporter of the Mentari family, Elina, offered her thoughts. "He was loved. He was treasured by the nation. For someone to take him away from the Universe so easily...it defies morality. My only hope now is that his killer will be brought to justice. Millions are screaming for their head!"
Another fan - a self-styled conspiracy theorist - claimed that the Prince's death may be related to the mysterious demise of Pankosmios, as Everett was a student there while he was still an orphan.
