"What do kids even like these days?" I ask Reign and Tiana as we strolled through the mall.

It was currently a few hours later after the big reveal, I decided I would go Christmas shopping while Hakeem and Luca went to go see Mizani for his weekly visitation.

I would've stayed behind and went to the aquarium with them. But Christmas was right around the corner and I had little to no shopping done.

And to be honest I didn't even have a tree so I needed to get a tree, along with all the other decorations that went with it. It was so much work in such little time, but I think it'll be worth it, I get to spend it with the people I truly care about in the end.

"Hmm— don't know. Have you asked them what they wanted?" Tiana asks, her eyes scanning the big crowds of people we continuously walked past.

"Luca said he didn't want anything— but I don't know, I'll end up feeling bad if I don't." I slightly pout standing closer to Reign feeling uncomfortable as people brushed past me.

It was almost Christmas so malls were packed especially since it was the weekend. Most people didn't have work or school, so it was the best time things done.

But I was genuinely confused on how to shop for Luca and Z. I've never had kids before and I've never bought anything for kids— well besides buying clothes for Luca but I let him shop himself.

"And Z... I'm pretty sure he wants toys right? Keem said he was gonna do his shopping, but how does he even have the money to even buy things if he doesn't have a job?" I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion walking into the nearest store which happened to be the Apple Store.

I hear a hiss beside me and I quickly look at Tiana as her lips formed into a thin line, just from that expression right there, in that exact moment I felt like I knew less about Hakeem than what he was leading on.

"What does he do?" I ask her, and she just shakes her head quickly.

"Not my place to say." She exclaimed sighing with that she walks away examining the different electronics.

I bite the inside of my cheek before looking at Reign with a irritated expression, waiting for him to explain and he just jerks his head back.

"Jay— quit looking at me like that. I love you bruh, but I ain't sayin' shit, ask ya boyfriend." He chuckled smirking— and all I do is huff in response. I walk deeper into the store and seconds later someone walks up to me which I assumed was an employee.

The woman gives me the brightest smile. "Hi! Welcome, are you looking for anything specific today?"

Her smile was so contagious I couldn't help but slightly smile myself. "Uh— no." I chuckle awkwardly. "Just browsing."

She nods understandingly. "Ok, if you happen to find anything that catches your eye you can just ask one of our employees that have a small name tag." She points at her name tag and I glance at it, Harper.
