Lucy's POV
When I saw that it was Matt, the memories of the night of the attack flowed back into my mind. I fought back tears.
"What do you want?!" I said as I growled.
"Revenge." He said as he smirked. I wanted nothing more than to punch that smirk off his face.
"Why would you want revenge?! You killed my family and my pack! We never hurt you!" He chuckled.
"Lucy, I already got my revenge from you. I want revenge from your mate."
"What did Carter ever do to you?"
"I think it's better if my son told you. Tanner come here." Then a guy with curly brown hair and hazel eyes walked into the room. He had some features and he looked like a younger version of Matt.
"You see Lucy, about a year ago, Carter and his pack were at war with our pack. Carter and his pack kidnapped my mother and killed her. Then his pack killed most of our pack. We surrendered and ever since, we have been gathering rouges and seeking revenge. That's where your pack comes into the picture. When we found out about your father, we told him that he would give us his pack or we would kill him. He refused. That's when we attacked. Then, we found out that you survived. We also found out that you're Carter's mate and well, here you are." Then he unlocked the cage, grabbed me by my hair a pulled me towards a chair. There he cuffed me to the chair. Then he started to hit me and cut my arms and legs. Then he took a knife and he started to outline my mark.
