Chapter 19

Carter's POV

When I woke up I could see the sun's rays shining through the blinds. I was in my bed and I reached for Lucy. When I saw that she wasn't there I started to panic. Then reality hit me like a wall. I remembered that Lucy was kidnapped. Suddenly all the memories of last night flowed into my head. I decided that to get through this I had to calm down. So the person that kidnapped Lucy knew my past and had something against Lucy since they didn't take my family. There was only one person that I knew that was that cruel. Matt. That bloody name crossed my mind and it all came together. The war that look place a year ago, Lucy's pack being killed,it all fit together. I called my parents in to tell them that I figured it out.

Lucy's POV

I must've fallen asleep because when I woke up I saw that I was still in the cage.

"Looks like someone's awake" I turned towards the door and Tanner was standing there with a stupid smirk on his face. Then he opened the cage door and sprayed me with something that smelled disgusting. Wolfsbane. That's why my wolf wouldn't wake up and why I had no scent. Then Tanner grabbed my hair and strapped me to the chair again. He beat me and cut me. Then he threw me back into the cage and attached the shackles. Then I started to cry, and I wondered how much longer until this torture is over.

Carter's POV

When my parents came in, I told them the good news. Then I mindlinked my beta.

'Jake, I figured out who took Lucy, it was Matt. I need you to gather the warriors'

'Yes Alpha'

At around noon, we were finally ready. There were about 150 men that were there. Then we shifted and we ran to their territory. We ran for about 2 hours before we finally reached his territory. My men made a surprise attack while I ran to the pack house. I knocked down the door and I saw Violet with almost no clothes on, making out with a guy.

Violet's POV

When my mate said that he wanted me, I couldn't resist him any longer. He grabbed my hand and he led me out the door. Then he shifted. I figured that I should shift too and I did. Then we ran for 2hours. My wolf loved the way the wind whipped through my black fur. When we got to his pack house, we shifted. Then he opened the door and we stepped inside. His pack house was huge. But it was slightly smaller than our pack house. When we walked in, all the male wolves looked at me with lingering eyes. I remembered that I was naked. My mate must've noticed because he grabbed my hand and led me to his room. He handed me some sweats and one of his shirts. I inhaled his sweet scent. Then we sat on his bed.

"So what's your name beautiful?" He asked.

"Violet"

"What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. My name is Tanner." We talked for about an hour. We had so much in common. I guess the Fates did a good job with choosing our mates. Then Tanner's phone rang.

"Sorry I gotta take this." He said as he left the room and took his call. When he walked into the room, he told me that he had pack business to take care of. He kissed me and then he left the room. I noticed that he had a tv and I started to watch mtv. I watched for about an hour until Tanner walked back in.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too." I said as I gave him a kiss. Then I decided to go to the lounge. There, we turned on the tv and we saw the notebook. Halfway through the movie, Tanner started to kiss my neck. I couldn't resist him. We started to kiss and it turned into a makeout session. Tanner started to take off my clothes. Then we heard the front door open.
