Iris's P.O.V

As soon as my dad left, I knew I wanted to waste zero time in trying to get a hold of this unknown person from the casino. I looked at the piece of paper with the number on it and quickly got my phone out and entered it in. I just stared at it for a few lingering moments before I decided to put the call through.

After what felt like an eternity of waiting and pacing back and forth, someone finally picked up. It was a man's voice. Very deep.
"Vegas Lights Casino, marketing and sales department, Richard speaking." He said.
"Hi! My name is Iris Blair and I heard that Mr. Urie is looking for a personal assistant. I am very, very interested in this position and was wanting to get the process started to apply." I said, still pacing back and forth in my apartment, anxious to hear what he had to say.
"Mr. Urie is definitely looking for the right, qualified person for this position, is there anyway you could bring a resume in today? I will give it to Mr.Urie personally." Richard said.
"Of course! That's no problem at all!" I said.
"Please try to turn in the resume by three, and we'll try our best to get back to you by the end of the day." He said
I quickly glanced at the clock and saw it was 12:30.
"That shouldn't be a problem at all Mr..?"
"Stoll. Richard Stoll." He said.
"Well, I will be there as soon as I can Mr. Stoll." I said with the biggest grin on my face.
"It was good talking to you Iris, I hope to see you soon."
"Yes, and you too!"
"Goodbye." He said.
I said a quick goodbye and hung up the phone.

I decided to call Lia instead of texting her to make sure I didn't waste any time waiting on a reply from her. I quickly picked her contact out and pressed the call button. I waited, listening to the phone ring, until she finally answered.
"Riss! What's happening girl?" She asked. I could hear her big smile through the phone.
"Oh my god, you're not gonna believe the news I have Lia! Is there anyway you could meet me at my place? Like now?" I asked her, bursting with excitement.
"Yeah! I'm not doing anything anyway." She said.
"Awesome, I'll see you soon."
"Love ya! See you soon!" She said
I told her a quick 'love you' back and hung up the phone.

I tossed my phone onto the couch and darted to my bedroom. I stood in front of my closet dumbfounded on what to wear. I skimmed through my options and decided to wait on Lia to get here. She's much better at this stuff than me.

It didn't take her very long to get here. She lives only 15 minutes away. I heard her familiar, rhythmic knock on my door and quickly opened it to let her in. I didn't waste any time in telling her what happened this morning.
"My dad came over earlier and worked his magic somehow and I think I'm gonna get a job as the owners assistant for the Vegas Lights Casino, they want me to bring in my resume before three today, and I still have to print it out, and I still have to find something to wear." I was speaking so fast Lia put her hands up and started to speak.
"Woah, woah, woah." She said "Hold on."
"It's like you're speaking in tongues, say it a little slower, Riss." She finished.
I took a deep breath and started speaking slower.
"I think I might have a job at the Vegas Lights Casino." I said.
"Iris! That's amazing!" She said, giving me a big hug.
"But, I need to take my resume to them today, and I'm at a loss as to what to wear when I take it in. I need your help with your amazing fashion sense." I continued.
"Oh, easy peasy." She said, already on her way to my bedroom. I quickly followed behind her.

She stood in front of my closet, tapping her finger on her chin like she was in deep thought. She started moving the hangers, intently looking at the clothes until she spoke up.
"You don't want something too fancy just yet. But on the other hand you wanna look good and sexy. It is the biggest casino after all." She said.
I just nodded in agreement with her, trusting her process.
"Here, this should do it."

She pulled this outfit out and laid it on my bed for me

She pulled this outfit out and laid it on my bed for me.
"This should be perfect." She said with her hands clasped together. "Wear your opened toed heels with it though. It'll add an extra element of sexy." She said, grabbing the heels. I grabbed the outfit and shoes and made my way to the bathroom and quickly got dressed. I came back out and Lia gushed at my look.
"Ah, I'm so good at what I do." She said matter of factly.

Lia is actually wanting to become a fashion designer. There's no doubt in my mind that she won't achieve it either. She's amazing at what she does. I've seen her sketch book, it's filled with so many extravagant clothing designs.

We both walked back out into the living room and sat down. "So, now what?" Lia asked.
"I need to print my resume out and take it in as soon as I can." I told her.
"We can still go to Brews a Plenty, they have a whole area for that kind of stuff." She said.
"That works out perfectly. I can still get my coffee."
"Let's go ahead and go so you're not late." Lia said.

I got up off the couch grabbing my laptop from the table and my keys off the key holder next to my door, making my way out with Lia right behind me. We went down the stairs and towards my crappy little car. We both hopped in and set off for the cafè.

After just a quick five minute drive we pulled into the parking lot. We got out and headed in. As soon as we walked in, the smell of coffee beans filled our nostrils. Lia's voice snapped me out of my coffee trance. "I'll go get our coffees and you can go ahead and work on getting that resume printed out." She said with a smile.
"You know what I usually get?" I asked her.
"Have I ever let you down before?" She retorted.
I shook my head at her and made my way over to the corner where everyone was working on their computers or scrolling through their phones.

I got my laptop out of my bag and set it up next to the printer. I was having trouble with getting it to print my papers. As if Lia was somehow reading my mind, she walked up beside me handing me my coffee. "Thank you." I said holding the cup with both of my hands taking a small sip. "This damn printer isn't wanting to work."
"Let me have a look." She said, sitting down her cup.
She messed with it and my laptop for a few minutes and like magic, it started printing.
"I swear you're a life saver." I told her.
"I know. What would you do without me?" She smiled.
I just chuckled at her and waited for the papers to finish printing.

It wasn't long until they was all out and done. I closed my laptop and put it back into my bag. I grabbed the papers and put them in there too, zipping it up. I looked at the clock they had on the wall and saw it was now 2:00. "You ready to go?" I asked Lia.
"Let's roll." She said.

With that, we walked out of the doors and back to my car with our coffees in hand. We both got in and headed for the biggest casino anyone has ever seen.
