———————————————————————————Iris's P.O.V
The way Brendon would kiss me was so magical, so soft it almost didn't seem real. After a few moments of silence, I spoke up.
"You're really musically inclined, Brendon." I told him.
"I've been playing since I was a kid. It's always held a special place in my heart." He said.
"That's amazing, I still have to hear you play the guitar, you know." I told him.
"You will." He gave me a grin.
"So, is this what you do to all the girls that come here?" I asked. "Serenade them, kiss them, have them wear your clothes." I said looking down at Brendon's shirt and boxers that I was wearing.
"All the girls?" He chuckled. "There haven't been many that have come here, and the few that have, aren't here longer than two hours. And they certainly don't wear my clothes." He chuckled.
"Oh, really?" I asked.
"Really." Brendon replied with a very serious look on his face. I couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or not.The sudden rush of emotions hit me like a ton of bricks and I didn't like it. It was an all too familiar feeling that I swore I would never endure again. I liked being around Brendon, I could see us possibly being together someday, maybe. But sometimes the past, that you thought you were over, can sneak up, reminding you of some of the worst times in your life. The men in my life haven't exactly been relationship worthy. Nonetheless, I would still fall for them and feel the need to fix them. 'Fixer Syndrome' some would call it. I'd put myself in those positions and come out of the other side broken, messy, and traumatized. I couldn't do that to myself again and I didn't know yet if Brendon was an exception to that.
I got up from the piano bench and made my way back over to the couch and sat down. Brendon followed me shortly after, sitting down beside me. It seemed like he could tell my demeanor changed and he placed his hand on my knee.
"What's wrong?" He asked me. I really didn't want to talk about my shitty past relationships or how I was scared of just the thought of a new one possibly happening.
"I was just thinking about how I don't have any clothes for when I leave here. I don't know when I can get my keys back from Lia either. She hasn't texted or called me yet." I said to him.
"Lia?" He asked.
"That's my best friend who went with me last night. She's a real trip." I said, laughing.
"Well, I don't know about Lia, but I can have Louis go and buy you some new clothes." He said.
"That would be a saving grace, you can take however much it costs out my check." I told him. He already had his phone out calling Louis.
"I'm not taking the money out of your check." He chuckled. After that, Brendon started talking to Louis through the phone.
"Hey, Louis. I need you to go to a store and get some clothing for Iris." He looked over at me with a confused look on his face. I put together that he might need my size so I mouthed 'medium' to him.
"Size medium. Alright, thank you." After that, he hung up the phone.
"Done." He simply said.
"I guess all that's left to do is try to get a hold of Lia." I told him.
