Iris's P.O.V
Today is the big event for the Vegas Lights casino. Brendon is letting me stay at home until it starts thankfully. I don't know if I could go a whole day of working and then hop on a plane for so many hours.
I was already at my couch with a warm cup of coffee in my hands, watching Cold Case Files. Yes, I'm watching a show about murder at eight thirty in the morning. What can I say. I like what I like.
While I was watching the show and sipping on my cup of coffee that was growing colder by the minute, I heard a quick knock at my door. I looked up towards the door with my eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I wasn't expecting anybody this morning. I paused my show and made my way over to my door, unlocking and slowly opening it. There was no one there but, I did see the back end of Louis's car speeding off. I looked down and seen a box on my welcome mat. The bold letters stood out to me, 'HEBEOS'. I grabbed it in one hand, closing my door back.
I scooted any clutter I had on my coffee table to the side and placed the unknown box on it. I sat down in the floor and slowly opened it, revealing a note on top of tissue paper. I grabbed the note and opened it, reading what was hand written.
'Iris, after a considerable amount of time, I believe I've finally found the perfect dress, made just for you. I hope you like it and I can't wait to see you in it. -Bren'
I smiled at the nickname he had thrown in there. I held the note in my hands, still smiling at it before placing it on the table beside the box. I grabbed the tissue paper and pulled them to the side revealing a gold sequined spaghetti strap dress. I grabbed the dress by the straps and slightly pulled up on it revealing the top part. I haven't even gotten it completely out yet, but just from the top alone, I knew it was going to be the most gorgeous dress I've ever put on. Possibly the most expensive too.
I closed the box up and grabbed it, taking it to my room and setting it on my bed. I opened it back up and got it completely out, taking in all of its glory.
It had a slit on the left side, going all the way up to where my thigh would be. The sequins on the dress felt smooth, not at all rough. I went over to my closet, grabbing a free hanger and slid the dress onto it, hanging it up so nothing would happen to it.
