Iris's P.O.V
We made it back to the hotel and was in our designated rooms, just doing our own thing. Simon was probably in his room playing around with numbers and who knows what Richard is doing. I had turned the TV on and was watching the ID channel. A show called Fear Thy Neighbor. I had never seen it before, but it was pretty interesting. But, then again, any kind of show like this is interesting to me.
My phone vibrated on the nightstand next to me, sucking me out of the TV, making me look over at it. Brendon was calling me. I'm assuming to see how it went with Julian. I grabbed it, answering it hastily.
"Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Hey, I was just calling to see how it went." Brendon said.
"It didn't really." I said, my focus going back to the TV.
There was a silence over the phone that quickly made me reply.
"He wants us to go to his nightclub tonight to discuss it there." I told him.
"I'm not surprised. Is it at eleven?" He asked.
"It is. How'd you know that?" I furrowed my eyebrows together in confusion.
"I did extensive research on him, I know he owns it. Plus, I've been there before."
"You have? How is it?" I asked.
"It's a very nice place. Don't be fooled by the outside of it. The inside is... something else." He chuckled.
"I'm excited to go." I admitted.
"He usually has someone pretty famous playing there too." He said.
"Oh? I wonder who's gonna be there tonight." I said, while still watching the TV.
"I have no clue. He doesn't announce it until right before it starts usually." Brendon said.
I just stayed silent until Brendon spoke up again.
"Are you gonna tell me what's bothering you?" He asked me.
"Nothings bothering me." I stated flatly.
"Iris... I can tell something is bothering you. You can tell me." He insisted.
I thought about telling him, but if I was, I wasn't doing it over the phone states away.
"I'll talk to you about it when I get back, okay?"
"You promise?" He asked.
"Yes, I promise. I gotta go now. I need to find something to wear tonight."
"Alright, just be careful and stay close to Richard while you're there, please?" His voice was filled with worry. We all know how the last nightclub outing went.
"I will. I'll talk to you later." I said.
"Bye, Iris." Brendon said.I hung up the phone, and when I did I saw that my dad had finally texted me back.
'Hope you're having a great time sweetie!'
He always knew how to put a smile on my face when I needed it the most. I wasn't planning on going to a nightclub on a business trip, so I don't think I had anything remotely close for the occasion. I got up from my comfy spot on the bed and went to the footboard where my suitcase sat. I flipped it open and started going through the contents, not seeing anything for nightclub attire. I put my hands on my hips and huffed. Guess I'm going shopping then.A sudden knock on my door made me turn my head towards it. I walked over and looked through the peephole seeing Richard standing there. I opened it and he smiled at me.
"You hungry? Simon and I was gonna go out and try to find something to eat, we're starving." He said.
"Yeah, I could go for some food. I need to go shopping too." I said.
"Shopping?" He questioned.
"I don't have anything to wear tonight. Don't worry, you guys don't need to go with me when I do that." I laughed, knowing they would probably hate it.
"Oh okay." He said. "We found a place called Motek, it's in downtown. They have Mediterranean food."
"That sounds perfect. Let me just grab a few things and I'll meet you guys out in the hallway." I said.
"Great." He said, walking back out the door.
