It's been a whole month since I got married to Vegas. But, here's the thing - I've been trying to get in touch with Isabella, but no luck. She's not picking up my calls, and it's the same story with everyone else at the mansion. I can't seem to reach anyone there. It's driving me crazy! So, I've made up my mind to head over there myself today. And it's not just that, I can't find any information about my father's death either.

As I turned to face Vegas, his piercing gaze locked onto mine, sending shivers down my spine. Leaning against the wall.

His dark, tousled hair added to his allure, giving him that effortlessly sexy look. Dressed in a fitted leather jacket that hugged his broad shoulders, The rolled-up sleeves revealed his muscular arms, adding to his undeniable appeal.

Curiosity got the better of me, and I couldn't help but steal a glance at the others. They all seemed to bow and show respect to Vegas, acknowledging his presence and power.

With a deep voice, Vegas asked, "Where do you think you're going?" His arms crossed in front of his chest, emphasizing his strong physique.

Asshole

 "At Sanegtham's mansion," I declared.

Vegas raised an eyebrow, his eyes never leaving mine. "Alone?" he questioned, his tone laced with a mix of concern and authority.

"No, I'm taking two bodyguards and a skilled driver with me." I glanced at the two bodyguards who stood nearby, their heads lowered in deference to Vegas.

A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he leaned closer. "Hm, I'm coming with you," he declared, his voice low and commanding. He gracefully slid into the back seat, rolling down the window and signaling for me to join him with a subtle gesture of his fingers.

I climbed into the car, settling in beside him. He seemed lost in his thoughts, his gaze fixed on something outside the window.

Soon, The engine started.

Suddenly, the tranquility shattered as the piercing sound of shattering glass filled the car. In an instant, Vegas's eyes narrowed.

Without a moment's hesitation, Vegas's strong, muscular arm swept across my chest, pulling me down and shielding me with his own body. The air filled with the cacophony of breaking glass and the deafening sound of bullets tearing through the car's windows.

With a swift and confident movement, Vegas's hand dove beneath the driver's seat, retrieving a hidden compartment that concealed a meticulously designed bulletproof shield. This shield, sleek and formidable, is seamlessly integrated into the car's interior. In one fluid motion, he raised it, creating an impenetrable barrier between us and the ruthless assailants.

Vegas's expression shifted from carefree to deadly serious, his smoldering gaze fixed on the chaos unfolding around us. His strong jaw clenched with determination, accentuating his rugged and commanding presence. "Stay calm, Pete. We've got company," he said, his voice dripping with a steely resolve that sent shivers down my spine.

His piercing eyes darted between the road ahead and the rearview mirror, his mind working at lightning speed, calculating their every move. The intensity in his gaze only heightened the gravity of the situation, making it clear that he was a force to be reckoned with.

As the chaos unfolded, Vegas's presence became even more striking. He leaned out of the sunroof, his chiseled physique flexing as he positioned himself for optimal accuracy. The wind whipped through his tousled hair, adding to the aura of danger and intrigue that surrounded him.

There were black cars, jeeps, and bikers all around us, they were not much but not less either. If we killed them fast, We could get out of this situation as fast as we could.

"Don't fucking get killed," I gritted my teeth and he let out a small chuckle at the irony.

I could feel the intensity radiating off Vegas as he shot me that reassuring glance, his eyes filled with determination. "Hold on tight, Pete. Trust me," he said, his voice steady and unwavering. The adrenaline surged through my veins as the chaos unfolded around us.

Tires screeched, engines roared, and the air filled with the scent of burning rubber. Vegas's focus never wavered as he kept one hand on the trigger, his eyes locked on the approaching car.

"Get me a grenade,"

As I leaned into the passenger's side to grab the duffel, Vegas swung his arm back and launched the grenade toward the roofless jeep. Time seemed to slow down as I watched it fall through the roof, knowing that chaos would soon follow.

"Why aren't there any explosions?" I asked, my voice filled with curiosity and anticipation. Vegas's eyes flickered with mysterious confidence as he twisted the gun and pulled the trigger, targeting the tires of their car. "Just wait and watch," he muttered, his voice laced with a hint of intrigue.

Suddenly, the air was filled with the deafening sound of explosions. The world around us shook as the bombs he had thrown detonated, engulfing the enemy in a cloud of destruction. I glanced up at Vegas, his hands gripping the gun so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

"One can stand a chance against me,"

Vegas closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh, the weight of the moment sinking in. I quickly looked out of the window, and the sight that greeted me was one of desolation. The whole sky was dark, illuminated only by the remnants of the explosions.
