I rushed with Sofia to the room where they had dad in. The guard let us in, and as soon as I entered, he was about to stand up. "No.." He coughed. "Dad...what happened?"
"Nothing happened, dear. How have you been?" He held my cheeks with his hands and smiled... I nodded and smiled slightly. "I'm alright." I lied. His eyes looked at me with doubt. "Trust me. It's nice in here." I said again. "Your eyes are saying something else." I smiled, taking him into a hug. What change will he do if I don't lie? There's nothing, and no one can go against Vincent Marino. He can torture me, and no one will stop him. "I missed you and mom, that's all." He sighed then patted my head. "They said you were sick." I sat him down then sat beside him. "Ahh, it's nothing. I only said that to see you. Don't worry about me." He smiled again. Something feels off. He held my hand and smiled even wider. He lowered my head and kissed it. "Take this." He whispered as he patted my shoulder. He put something in my hand. I tried to see what it was. "Look at me." He raised my chin, and I looked at him in confusion. "Your pocket." I understood him right away and put whatever it is, in my pocket. He stood up and raised his arms for a hug. He faked a laugh, and so I did, going for a hug. He hugged me tight and whispered...

"At the right time. All the information you need to bring him down is with you now. Take care of yourself, and don't let anyone know about this. Now laugh with me."

I laughed. "Hahaha. Oh, dad, I will miss you too! I will be fine." He backed away and smiled. "That's my Cleo. You need to go now. Be careful..." I nodded. I wonder why he had to whisper and act like we were laughing about something. I turned to the door and walked out, giving him one last look and left. Could it be that there was a camera somewhere?

Someone interrupted my thoughts. I looked behind me and saw Austin. "Boss wants to see you." I gulped. If there was a camera in that room, he must've suspected something. After all, I wasn't playing the act right. I had no idea what dad was planning...
"Ma'am." Austin called. "Yes." "Are you alright?" I took a deep breath. "Yes, I'm fine. Let's go."

"Sit down, Cleo. We have some unfinished business to deal with." Vincent said. I sat down to where he told me. I am a little nervous about what this 'business' is. He took out a file and threw it on the table for me. I reached for it and opened it.

My breath stopped. "Marco Gallon."
I nodded for him to continue. Completely showing him no emotion. I don't know what he would do if he found out I have feelings for him. I'm afraid he would use that against me. "He's in your school. Have you heard of him?" He looked straight to my eyes. Easily detecting if I will lie or not. I scoffed. "Of course, I have. We take the same class and he's a big troublemaker." He looked at me with surprise. I raised my head. The only way I can make him trust me is to show him that he won't trust anyone other than me. Trust can be built on lies, but not with this man. He's sharp. He can sense when something isn't right.
He sighed. "I need you to get close to him." I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Why?" He lit a cigarette. "Are you questioning my orders again, Cleo?" I stood up and lowered my head quickly. "Of course not, sir. Who dares!- He cleared his throat. "Though I'm glad you asked. The file." I opened it again, reading.

He spoke as I read in shock. "His father is our rival, which makes him the same. They've been stealing our shipments for a month now. The Richies. Are all dead. And our supplies. Are all gone."

I turned the page. Photos of him followed by men. His eyes had this dead look in it. Weapon in his hands. People dead, him shooting at them, stepping on them. Blood all over him. Drugs, smoke, digital bombs.
My breath fastened as the dots connected. "Digital bomb." I raised my head. I looked at my father in shock. "It was him." He spoke.

I scoffed. "How...what?" He lit another cigarette and crossed his legs. "Another reason for you to get close to him. And kill him before he makes another move on you. Lorenzo was a big part of this mafia, and you know it!- Boss- YOU WILL OBEY ME! AND kill him. You are the one who will make them suffer. Take revenge." He stood up as he talked.

"Half of the work is done by him. His father." He looked at the file, I turned the page. "Sandrino. He calls himself the ghost. Thinking that no one can find him nor his dirty work." I looked at him. He nodded. "I'm not no one."...... "can not believe this." I mumbled. The file was in my hands. The proof is right in my hands. Why don't I believe this? Marco... How could he lie to me?! He said that his father is a fireman... Is that why Enzo always warned me? is that why they were against me being with him?

"Do they know?" I looked back at him. "The others, do they?" He let out the smoke. "No." I sighed. "This is classified. No one knows his true self. For a moment there, I almost thought he was the real ghost, not his father. It was impossible to find anything on him till you showed up."

"What do you mean till I showed up?!" He chuckled.

"Oh, my innocent Cleo." He walked around to me. "You were a distraction. - What?!- You're very beautiful. The whole world noticed the way he looks at you." I nodded. There's no way that was true. I'm sure he lied about everything. If everyone knows I'm Marino's heir, then he must be getting closer to me for the same reason my father is telling me right now. Get closer to kill him. I closed my eyes and sighed. Oh, I'm such a fool...
"He is in love with you to the point he couldn't see the spy I planted in between his family members. So in love, to the point he forgot to cover his tracks. And that's how I finally found him. Sandrino's son, MY winning card."

I sat down. My legs couldn't carry me anymore. I wanted to cry, scream at him, at Marco. "No..." He kneeled down to look at my eyes. I couldn't blink at him. I just stared at Marco's photos. "Tell me every single thing about him. Play the innocent girl as always, don't let him sense anything about me. You are just my daughter nothing connects you to the mafia. Nothing." He reminded me. "Make him fall for you more till he unfolds all his secrets to you. And always report back to me. But don't you dare, Cleo." He held my shoulders turning me to him. I gulped as I saw his eyes.
"Don't you dare fall in love with him."
