Chapter 15

I waited and waited...for Enzo to come out of the water and shout at me to run, protect me from the explosion that'll happen. I waited for him nervously, hoping he came out. I waited a lot.. I hate waiting, and it made me more worried.
"ENZO!!!" I shouted, calling his name. He's coming. Yes, I know he'll be out soon. "He won't die no...no..." I whispered to myself, looking at the sea in front of me. "Come on----NOOOOOO!!!!"

What I feared happened! The bomb, a huge explosion, almost similar to an earthquake, throwing me away on my back hard. I screamed! Not because the painful fall on my back! But because of the fact that he was there.
I looked at the sky above me. Water falling from the explosion was like rain. My hand on my chest, I felt my heart beating out of it. Was it beating fast because of the explosion or Enzo?!
Is my spine broken?
What was I feeling?
My whole body from the back was completely....numb. I couldn't feel anything. Suddenly, my eyes felt blurry. When I thought of him. I started crying. My tears fell from the side of my eyes to my ears. I couldn't move. I felt weak... I couldn't believe what just happened.. It all happened so fast...

"Enzo....?"
"Enzo, come here....help me....I can't move...."
He's gone. He's gone. I can't believe he's gone.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!" I screamed from the top of my lungs... I put my hands on my face and cried loudly.
I heard someone call my name from a far, but I couldn't move. All I was able to do was cry.
"Cleo! What happened?!!" I heard Natasha's voice shout at me. I removed my hands from my face and saw her standing beside me. Ryder saw me and came down to look at me. He held my face from the side. "Are you okay?" He asked, and I nodded, crying. "I can't feel my body.." I said and busted into tears. "What about Enzo?!?" Natasha asked. I didn't answer her, I just cried, putting my arm on my eyes. "Oh my god! No!" She said, her voice getting low about to cry.
"No! No way!" Jason shouted. "*sobs* I'm sorryyyy... ahhhaa, stop!!" I said while crying. "Guys, we have to get out of here." Ryder said. "What hurts?" He whispered, holding my face and making me look at him. "....My back...and.....my head." I said, sniffing. "Mhmmm... yeah, you're bleeding... Come on.." He held my head and showed me the blood. I stared at where Enzo jumped and remembered the whole scene in my head again. I cried more. Ryder carried me on his arms, as for some reason, I didn't feel his arms below my back. My eyes looked at Enzo's car. Memories of us in there came rushing in. His last words made me confused. And cry even more. 'You are the most important person in my life. You are so precious. You don't know that. You don't know how was I the past week being professional with you. You don't know how I felt all those years without you.'

All those years without me? What did he mean? My head hurts. I felt my eyes getting heavy. Ryder laid me down in the back of the car slowly. "Uhh..." I cried in pain.
The last thing I felt was someone's hand in my hair patting. The car is driving very fast.. "Make sure she stays with us! Cleo!" And someone shouting this sentence.
But I couldn't, everything went black and I felt nothing.

One Day Later:---
I woke up in what looked like a hospital room. I looked around me and saw Ryder asleep on a chair beside me and Natasha sitting on the couch in front of the bed, staring blank less at the floor. Her eyes and nose were red, and she was crying. What happened? Is he dead? Or was he.... just late? Did they find his body? I need to know.

I noticed the inhaler on my face and panicked. I removed it in a hurry and breathed the oxygen. I removed every medical thing like an idiot. And it beeped. Ryder woke up startled, looking at me shocked. I didn't care. I had to know. "Cleo, what are you doing?! Stop!" Ryder held my arms, stopping me. I didn't feel my back, and the more I moved, the more my head hurt. He stopped me in time. "No, I have to know. Don't stop me." I said. "Hang in there. You need to rest."
"I need to... know what happened to Enzo."
