"Boss!" After a moment, Jason ran to me. He shook my arms, trying to wake me from the shock I was trapped in. "Shit! You're bleeding!" I moved my eyes to him. "Can you hear me?!" He helped me up, and all I stared at was the window. The window that Marco fell out from. I put my hands on my mouth. "Boss! We have to get out of here!"
I pushed him from beside me and ran to the window. Jason ran behind me. I looked out the window... I stared in shock but couldn't hold it. I turned around right away and busted into tears.
Jason held me and looked at Marco. He fell on the bushes, and his whole body was in blood. If he didn't die from the gunshots, the high fall killed him, and the bushes bruised him even more...
"Damn..." Jason said as Cleo cried loudly. "We have to leave. Come on, let's go."_________________________
Jason took Cleo's mask and gave it to her. She wore it, hiding her tears. "We'll have to go through the crowds." Jason said. She took a deep breath and asked... "Where's my father?" They spoke as they went downstairs. "He left before us. He's waiting for you." Cleo nodded and held his arm and smiled to the people. They reached the front door, and she stopped. "What's wrong?" Jason asked. She didn't reply to him. She left his arm and walked around the mansion. He gulped and followed her. "Where are you going?" He asked. She didn't reply to him and started walking faster. She looked at the upper floor windows as she walked. "Cleo?!" He shouted her name and ran behind her. "This is not right! We have to leave." She ignored and kept running to the side.
She stopped at the sight of him. Jason saw where she stopped, and he sighed. She walked closer, feeling her hands trembling. "Cleo--Shhh." She raised her hand at Jason, shutting him. She took a deep breath, walking closer, taking off her gloves.
She sniffed as she reached the bushes and touched his cold face. "How did I do this?" She spoke. "I'm sorry..." She sobbed. She moved her hand all over his face. She took the glove, folded it, and moved it on his forehead. She cleaned the blood and moved to his shoulder. "We have to take him." She said. Jason walked to her. "He's dead." He simply said.
Cleo turned to him. "We can't leave him like this!" She almost shouted. Jason looked down and clenched his fists. He calmly said... "You shouldn't care." He looked at her. She didn't know what to reply with. Her heart was already shattered because of what she did to Marco. Now, she can't even bury him. "Jason, we can't leave him in the cold like this... He...he's filled with blood for God's sake!!" She looked at him angrily. It was obvious, the pain in her eyes and the anger it's causing. Not even the mask can hide how miserable she felt at this moment.
Jason had seen their relationship from up close. He saw how she smiled around Marco.
He closed his eyes and sighed. "Jason, please!" He shook his head. "We can't. Someone will definitely come and see him. It's not our responsibility.--- I killed him! I...did this. He's dead because of me. It was MY responsibility to kill him, and NOW IT'S ONLY RIGHT TO DO THIS. One last thing..." She turned to Marco again. She put her head on his chest. "I need to do this one last thing. Or he'll never forgive me..." She said.
Jason gritted on his teeth. "I would love to help you, but that's impossible. We're getting out of here." He held her arm, pulling her away. She tried to pull her arm away from his grip but couldn't. "You bastard... Leave me! Jason!!!" He walked completely, ignoring her. "Jason, I'm telling you to leave me right now, or I swear to god I'll--Enough!" He stopped her from talking but kept walking. She tried to push him away from her, but he didn't even flinch. She couldn't do anything anymore. The pain of losing him was worse than the pain of the wound she had on her shoulder. She fell on her knees as he kept walking, "Dammit, Cleo! Stop-.." He didn't continue when he saw her. She put her hand on her mouth, trying to lower her voice as she cried. He left her arm slowly when he felt her shaking. She closed her mouth with both of her hands as she sobbed more. Jason got down on one knee and patted her shoulder. He looked at Marco's dead body that was a few miles away from them and sighed.
