I'll just act like I'm in a bad mood and doubt him. There's no way he can guess that I know about his secret.

He smirked. It pissed me more. "Every time you lie and say this, you'll get in trouble. I hate liars." I crossed my arms and walked. But before I could leave, he held my arm and moved me back. "Then I believe I'll get bruised every second, every day for the rest of my life."
He said that in a polite yet with his deepest voice tone. He made sure that I heard every word clearly. I chuckled, then turned my head to him. Before I could speak, he said as he stared at me, deadly in the eyes... "Will it kill me?" I raised an eyebrow pretending to not get what he means by this question. I turned fully to him and crossed my arms. "What? Why would your fake love for me kill you?" I shook my head and giggled. I reached him with my two hands, brushing his cheeks with my thumbs. I sighed. "If anything it's me who's already dying from this love." His face expression changed. But before he could say anything, I pulled him in. He couldn't stop it. I held him too strong and hugged him, taking all his breath away. All he could do was keep his arms around my waist.

I was so naive. Exactly as my father described me. I never believed him, I thought he was controlling, only wanted everyone under his control to feel powerful. Turns out that's part of this whole world. Everyone involved in this wants power. This life, this mafia... This guy here. He wants power, and the only way to get it is through me.

"Baby...wha- I kissed him, moving him till he stopped at the counter in the middle of the kitchen.

I felt mad. Hurt. I loved him, and it's going to get me killed. I never gave in to anyone or trusted any soul. The time I decide to do that, he ends up being the danger I feared... The man I fell for, I was willing to give up everything for him, I was going to fight with my father for him. My life, I was willing to risk it, I was willing to change it a second time, but by my choice. Marco Gallon, the school's hottest guy, my true love... turns out to be the ghost, my worst enemy. How am I so stupid?

He pulled away and carried me in a swift move, almost making me scream. He moved us to the other side, closing the door shut, and slammed me to it. "What the hell, Marino?"
"Stop calling me that!"
"Stop kissing me like that!"
He said that, surprising me but quickly kissed me softly all over my face. "What's wrong, Fireball? You kiss softer than that, not that I don't like it, but... I could feel your anger." I softened my eyes at him. "I'm sorry." I lied. He smiled. "It's okay, I didn't know you liked it rough." His smile formed into a smirk as I blushed. "What?! No! I-"
I got so shy I couldn't speak. I pushed him, and he chuckled. "I'm going to bed. I'm really starting to feel dizzy. Find your way out. Bye!" I said, then ran out of the kitchen.

He walked out behind me. I reached the stairs and saw him walking calmly, never taking his eyes off me. I kept climbing the stairs as I looked back at him. I giggled, "What? The door is behind you." I spoke. He smiled. "You're too beautiful I can't leave right now." I stopped. "Why so?" I asked. He walked towards me, looking down. He took a deep breath and then said. "If you don't keep running to your room, I might not be able to hold myself anymore."

"Oh..." I slowly climbed the stairs. "Yeah, like that." I couldn't help but feel him staring. "Marco!" I suddenly turned around, and he looked away. "You guys got a nice ceiling." I laughed lightly. Liar. I thought to myself as I ran up away from him. I'm glad he didn't say anything.
It was time to prepare for the event. I sighed. We wasted so much of our time. I'm surprised by his coldness. He didn't seem to be in a rush or even looked at his watch. It's almost 7 pm. I opened my room door. A beautiful Navy blue dress was on my bed. It looked prettier the more I got closer to it. The lower part of it was the darkest shade of blue. I saw elegant heels beside it. "Wow."
My phone rang, and it was Father.
I answered.

*I see our plan is working perfectly. Good job.* He said. I got confused. "What? What plan?" I asked.*You're good at acting. Though it was difficult for me to not barge in and slit his fucking throat for touching you.*I sat down feeling my chest tightening.

So he can see us. I looked around the room walls. *I didn't know you'd rush it like that. He's drooling over you, my daughter. Haha, maybe I judged you too fast.* I gulped. "How- Don't act stupid. You know, I have cameras everywhere. I'm always watching but let me warn you... Don't fall for him, Cleo!* He said and I laughed. Now he's calling me stupid. I'm not surprised. "Of course. I would never like a guy like him." I lied. He didn't reply for a second. *Hmm... I'll see you tonight.* He closed. Ugh, I almost smashed the phone to the ground but I stopped. I calmed myself down then went to prepare myself for what's coming.

No one got back to the mansion  which was weird, but Father sent me makeup artists to make me look "Perfect." And when they were done, I went downstairs to leave and get to my car but got surprised by Jason. The mask he was wearing did hide his face well, and he wore black pants with a navy tux and black shirt beneath it. The typical mafia style. I couldn't recognize him the moment I saw him. "Well look at that." I crossed my arms and said. He chuckled. "Your highness." He lead the way. I laughed, "Such a gentleman."

Minutes later, we reached the event. It was in a fancy building, almost looked like a castle. I followed Jason and the security was strict, but they let us in as soon as he said my name. I kept looking around stunned by the place. Jason cleared his throat. "May I?" He asked, giving me his arm. I held it as we walked more into the crowd of people. People who wore the darkest colours, most expensive dresses, the smell of food and wine mixed together with the smell of perfumes. The strongest and most attractive perfumes. I couldn't bare it. "Miss Marino." I turned around and saw a tall, blonde lady standing with a beautiful red dress. Her voice seemed familiar, but I couldn't recognize who it was, because of the mask she had on. "I guessed right. What in the world are you doing here?" She lit a cigarette and smoked it after surprising me with that attitude. "I'm sorry, but who are you?" I took a deep breath then asked. "Someone who you should respect, and be careful around." She said, leaning towards me. It got me mad. I was about to talk, but someone stepped in. He cleared his throat and clapped his hands. "Oh! Hey honey!" Her mood changed suddenly as she hugged the man and kissed him. I looked at Jason beside me, and he was as confused as me. The idea of this dress code isn't the best. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to know Jason if I lose him among these people.

They turned to us again. And the man stepped closer to me and whispered. "My sweet daughter." My eyes widened. He smirked. "Father?!" He nodded and put his finger on his mouth. Oh that means, these people don't know about me. "Let's not make a fuss." He looked at the woman and me. He smiled to me, but his eyes turned deadly as he turned to her again. "Or I will make sure you served as dinner for these people." He said, making her turn pale and look at the ground. "I'm so sorry." She said and started breathing fast from fear. "Leave." He demanded. "Excuse me." She looked at me and Jason, smiling slightly, then ran. Jason loosened his tie and gulped, I stepped away from my father, starting to question my life choices. If he can kill my mother, threaten this woman who he just kissed, with such a horrifying threat. Haha, he wouldn't stop when it comes to me.

He noticed the fear in both of our eyes, and it made him proud of himself. He sighed and held out his hand for me with a smile. I gripped onto Jason's arm, not sure if I wanted to dance with this man. He waited. "Boss... You have to." Jason whispered, looking down at me. His eyes softened when he saw the worry in mine. "He's your father." He closed his eyes and said.

"I'm sorry." He whispered.
