A/N:

Sorry for the very very late chapter updates! I've been really really busy with school but thank you for blowing up my story and reading :) More chapters and stories coming your way !

You woke up the next morning, surprisingly alone. Looking around, you saw the wrappers and boxes from Hogsmeade the day before all sprawled out on your table. Hermione was nowhere to be found but you weren't alarmed. You figured she'd probably have gone to breakfast first.

---

You fiddled with your tie as you walked down the stone steps to the Great Hall. You had a smile on your face and walked over to your friends at the table. You spotted Ron and Harry sitting next to each other, both reading the same newspaper.

"Hey, boys! Morning!" You put your hands on both their shoulders, causing them to jump. They turned around, looked at you, looked at each other, and looked back at you. "What's wrong?" Ron looked like he was sick and Harry had an uneasy look on his face.

"Y/n, hi." Harry gently said.

"What's up with the long faces guys? And also, have you seen 'Mione?"

"Yea about that..." Ron began to say but stopped.

"What?"

"Harry you tell her."

"No what? Didn't you say you would?" Harry furrowed his eyebrows. Ron began to retort back but you interrupted him.

"What?! Just say it guys!!" You exclaimed. Harry slowly took his hand out and pointed down the table. You followed his direction and you felt your heart drop to your stomach. Your throat felt stuck like the feeling of suppressing tears.

"What the fuck..." You whispered. There she was. You're girlfriend sitting next to the one and only Cormac McLaggen. They were holding hands as Hermione was laughing uncontrollably and putting her head on her shoulder. None of this made any sense to you.

You could feel your eyes welling up and immediately turned around and walked out the Great Hall.

"Y/n!" You hears Harry call out after you. You walked faster and pushed open the doors as you practically sprinted to your dorm.

Tears were now flowing uncontrollably from your eyes as you slammed your door shut. You threw yourself onto your bed and screamed into your pillow.

Everything hurt and the worst thing was that it made absolutely no sense to you. You thought she was the one. She had to be the one and all of  a sudden she's laughing with another guy.

You couldn't grasp onto the situation. It was so spontaneous. Thoughts were now flowing through your brain and you coming up with all the reasons that Hermione even got with you. Was she trying to deceive him? Was she still trying to make him jealous? Is that why she pretended to fall for you instead?

You felt like you've been ripped to pieces. You didn't want to do anything. You just wanted to lay there and wake up from this nightmare, but this wasn't a nightmare. It was reality.

You didn't go to class at all that day. You lied in bed and didn't change your position, your pillow wet from your tears that had stopped flowing harshly out your eyes. They were just slowly dropping every now and then. You felt like nothing.

You heard a knock from your door. You ignored it. Your body would not let you move at all. You were too tired. The knocking happened again. This time a little bit more demanding. Again, you didn't answer. There was a constant lump in your throat and you felt like if you talked to anyone, it would burst and you would cry all over again.

"Y/n. It's me. Ginny." The voice on the other side said.
