"Hey, have you heard?" Hermione eagerly sat next to you on the courtyard bench, thank god, not the one she and Ron were snogging on a few days ago.

"Heard about what?" You treasured these moments dearly because Hermione was never around as much. You still were able to talk normally, if you didn't include the many times you would grow nervous at the slightest bit of physical touch from her, which was actually a fair amount. It's just that she and Ron were a very PDA-active couple. Every time you saw them together, they would get all up over each other.
You were shocked that the professors haven't told them off yet.

"Ron's trying out for keeper!" She squealed and grabbed your hand in excitement. You slightly blushed at the contact but instead was a bit more interested in what she said.

"Really?!" You were surprised. Ron was fairly burly and relatively buff but he never was involved in athletics. "I mean with Harry as captain, it would be pretty easy for him to get in."

"Hey! Are you saying Ron sucks?" Hermione playfully hit you.

"No, of course not! It's just Harry's kinda his best friend. And Ron just doesn't strike me as the athletic type." You were kind of jealous now that the confusion had subsided. You made snide remarks and looked at him rudely whenever he was with Hermione.

"Ugh, you're so rude. Come watch the try outs today after school with me." Hermione squealed after you said yes, leaving you with very mixed feelings since her hand never left yours the entire time.

---

You and Hermione sat on the stands as you saw Harry and Ginny explain the try out procedure for the group of students. You saw the familiar tall redhead and another familiar, but unpleasant, face. He was glaring at you and Hermione.

"Oh god, is that Cormac?" You cringed.

"Yea, I think he's trying out for keeper too." Hermione wore the same disgusted expression as you did.

The tryouts had started and Ron and Cormac were keeping at the opposite posts. They were both doing their job but in kind of different ways. Cormac was confident and blocked the goals nicely, as much as you hated to say it. Ron, on the other hand, was a complete nervous wreck. You and Hermione both winced when he almost fell down his broom.

"Confundus," You heard Hermione whisper. Cormac swerved right suddenly and the quaffle went in. You were in complete surprise by the witch's skills.

"How in the world did you do that without your wand?" You were amazed by just how brilliant she was. Another reason you were completely head over heels for her. "You're truly amazing, Granger." You shook your head and turned your attention back to the tryouts. Hermione's cheeks flushed a bright red as she smiled shyly to herself.

"I gotta say, Ron, you're a pretty damn good keeper." You teased as the four of you took your seat at the Great Hall.

"I know right, my honey bear is so talented!" Hermione gave Ron a very strong kiss on the lips even catching him by surprise.

"Okay ew, 'Mione, get a room please." You were visibly grossed out, the chicken drumsticks not even looking appetizing to you anymore. Harry nodded in agreement.

"What, I'm just so proud of my love." The brunette and her boyfriend giggled as they kissed rather dramatically. You rolled your eyes and felt your palms get sweaty. You weren't going to deny it anymore, you were defintely jealous.

"So!" Harry thankfully piped up, ruining the couples moment. "Our first game is against Slytherin next week. Can you guys all make it and cheer for us?"

"Absolutely, dude! Of course, we'll come and cheer you guys on." You slapped your friend in the back.

"Thanks, guys." Harry smiled and took some potatoes from a nearby plate.

"Of course, I'll come and cheer you guys on! I wouldn't ever miss my baby's debut as our keeper. I'm so proud of you!" Hermione hugged Ron and they both engaged in a very disturbing battle of who could come up with more couple names for each other. These two were going to be very painful to be around.
