A/N: Extremely extremely sorry for the really long updates. I just finished my sports season and just passed AP season so now i'm much more free, thank you for waiting :)

You finally opened your mouth and responded.

"Ginny?" You said. Your voice came out as croaky and weak as you had just been crying the entire day.

"Yea. I just came to check on you, Y/n. Nothing more. Can I come in?"

You didn't really want anyone with you right now but you didn't have the energy to shoo Ginny away. You said 'mhm' so quietly that you were surprised Ginny could hear it through the other side.

The door opened as the redhead stepped through the doorway. She closed the door and walked over to you. You sat up and had your legs propped up on the ledge of the bed. You buried your face in your hands as Ginny sat down next to you and ran her hands down your back.

You silently sobbed and leaned onto Ginny as she held you. You were glad she decided to come check on you. Everything that needed to be let out was let out and you were grateful Ginny understood you.

"I don't get it, Gin," you said as you sobbed in between words. "It just doesn't make any sense." You were words were barely coherent as you were a crying mess.

"I know, Y/n, I know. It makes no sense to me either. It was like she got put under some love spell or something." Ginny comforted you as you kept on crying onto her robes.

"It's gonna be okay, Y/n. Hermione's gonna realize what a huge mistake she made. Don't cry over this, you know your worth, okay?"

You nodded as you slowed down your crying.

"Thank you, Ginny." You said, your head still on her shoulder.

"It's no problem. I actually didn't know what happened until Harry told me. He told me to check on you cuz he knew it would be less awkward if I did it instead of him."

You slightly smiled at the thought of how caring her friends were. You said and calmed down as you sat up.

"You know what, I don't care. She can do what she wants whatever. She'll realize what she lost." You say, your voice sounding odd as your nose was stuffed.

"No, Y/n. You can't give up on Hermione, you need to make this right. Talk it out with her." Ginny said as she looked at you lie on your bed in exasperation.

"I can't. I can't face her now, this is ridiculous. I'm done with this girl." You say as you close your eyes and lay your arm on top of your eyes. You wanted Ginny gone and wanted to be alone. As much you loved her, you wanted to be alone.

"Y/n, please think this through don't act impulsively. Please talk with her. I'm gonna leave you alone now but you're just in the heat of the moment. You'll get some clarity later." Ginny smiled a little and left you alone, like she read your mind.

You kept your eyes as you heard the door close but you couldn't sleep, you had thoughts racing through your mind.

"How is she?" Harry asked in the common rooms as he saw Ginny leave the dorms.

Ginny shrugged. "She's not in the correct headspace right now. She keeps saying how she doesn't care anymore and how she won't talk with her," said Ginny as she walked to Ron and Harry.

"I mean it is kind of weird how Hermione randomly dropped Y/n for Cormac out of all people. It's unnatural almost." Ron said as he keeps his attention to his book.

"Yea, it does seem unnatural." Harry murmurs as he looks up from his Potions book. The three whip their heads to the front of the common room as they hear giggles while the front door swings open. Hermione and Cormac walk in all laughing as Hermione clings onto his arm.

"Hi boys!" Hermione enthusiastically says as the two pass by the trio while they go up to Hermione's dorm.

"She does seem really weirdly all over him. It's like she's entranced." Harry says as a thought lingers in his mind.
