The morning sun greeted you, shining its rays onto your body. You squinted and sat yourself up. You were in the same clothes as yesterday, your tie messed up, and you were alone. You were brought back to last night and how it ended. Hermione and you were okay and friends. Friends.

You sighed and got up to fix yourself. You grabbed your bag and headed down to the Great Hall. It was the first time in weeks that Hermione and you would be able to eat together, side by side. Your eyes wandered to Cormac as you walked to your seat. He looked a bit beaten up but he was already talking to another girl. You rolled your eyes and greeted the boys.

"Good morning, boys." You smiled. "And lady." Hermione rolled her eyes and continued reading the Daily Prophet.

"So are you two alright?" Ron asked, his mouth full of eggs.

"Ron, stop eating with food in your mouth and yes. We're alright now." Hermione glanced at you, the corner of her mouth rising up a bit before she returned to the newspaper.

The two of you walked side by side to your first class of the day. You admired Hermione as she told you everything you missed the past few weeks. The way she talked about her favorite classes and how Snape was unreasonable with his homework was enough to make you fall for her twice.

"Hi, Y/n!" You heard a voice ring beside you as you walked. Ginny was walking the opposite direction and had grabbed your arm to greet you.

"Oh, Ginny. Hey, good morning." You replied. Hermione frowned a bit, but you hadn't noticed.

"It's been a while, when can I see you again?" The redhead smiled rather mischievously.

"Uhh," You looked at Hermione who looked rather pissed. "Tonight's okay." You responded to both Ginny and Hermione's surprise.

"Oh, okay! That's amazing." Ginny blushed and brushed her hand on your arm before giggling and leaving to her class.

"What does she mean 'when can I see you again?'" asked Hermione, who still looked a bit mad and, if you were correct, a little jealous.
"Are you guys dating?"

"What, no!" You laughed a bit at the remark. "We're just both trying to have fun. No strings attached. If there's no where else to get it, might as well get it from each other." You winked at her. "Come on let's get to class"

During your classes, Hermione barely talked to you. Every time you tried to talk or ask her about something she only responded with an 'mhm' or a mere shrug. You didn't want to get ahead of yourself but you thought she was jealous because of your interactions with Ginny. You swore it was nothing more than fucking but obviously she wouldn't believe you.

You were at the library alone once again. You tried to invite Hermione to go after dinner but to no surprise, she harshly said no. Harry and Ron thought you two had gotten into another fight but you just said she was moody that day. You weren't wrong.

It was dark outside and you were quietly studying and writing an essay when you heard someone approach you from behind you. Before you could turn around, a hand moved your jaw and you felt a pair of lips on yours.
