You groaned, eyes squinting and adjusting to the light shining through your new dorm window. You sat up and checked the time, making sure you weren't late for your first class of your sixth year. You weren't, thank merlin, and got dressed in your robes before heading out to breakfast.
"Morning, gentlemen." You took a seat with your three friends as the boys mumbled back a good morning to you. "And lady." You added as you looked at Hermione. She didn't look back at you but smiled as she read the Daily Prophet.
You smiled to yourself as you saw her cheeks redden. Or maybe that was just your delusions feeding you.
"What class do you have first, Y/n?" Harry asks you as your put some sausages on your plate.
"Uhh, I think," You groaned once you remembered. "History of Magic with Binns." You gloomily bit into your sausage. "I hate that class." You looked up and saw Hermione's eyes light up. "What, Hermione?"
"I've got History of Magic first too!" She happily exclaimed. You smiled involuntarily and began comparing your schedules.
It turned out you shared an astonishing three out of four classes together, which was both good and bad in your opinion. You could spend time with her but that also meant not being able to suppress your feelings for her. You hated having a crush.

As Professor Binns, droned on about class expectations and units for the year, you couldn't help but find yourself staring at the girl who chose to sit next to you. You pulled away after catching yourself looking for a fifth time in 20 minutes.
However, as much as you wanted her to look back at you, she was looking somewhere else. You followed her gaze and saw her staring at the curly head that was looking at her last night during the feast.
"You need to learn how to stare a little less creepily." You whispered to Hermione, which caused her to jump and break her gaze.
"What are you talking about?" Her smile was shy but it was pretty obvious to you what this meant.
"Do you like him?" You asked.
"No, of- of course not. I'm only here to learn." She stuttered. You realized she wasn't too great of a liar. You knew she had a crush except it just wasn't you.
