Chan P.O.V

I got out of the motorcycle and helped Seungmin get off. I took a deep breath. I was about to reveal something to him that I wanted so badly to hide. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible anymore. It was going to come out while we stayed at the safehouse and I'd rather me tell him than someone else. He smiled at me as we walked.

"Seungmin, before we go in, I need to warn you about something." He raised a brow.

"What is it?"

"This place isn't exactly a vacation home?"

"What is it, then?"

"Um, it's a safe house. It's where my mom comes when my dad pisses off the wrong person." He stopped and turned to me.

"What are you talking about?" I looked away for a moment and sighed.

"Let's go inside first." He huffed before walking ahead of me. He stopped when he saw the living room. I closed the door and locked it before pulling off my shoes.

"This place is..." I nodded.

"Yeah." He turned to me.

"Chan, what does your-" There was a knock on the door. I glimpsed out the window before opening it. Seungmin moved behind me and grabbed my hand.

"Christopher, what the hell did you get yourself into that you needed to come here?" I sighed.

"Before you start yelling, get your ass in here." Elias was someone I'd known for a long time. He hadn't changed in all that time either. He was still a douche. I closed the door behind him and locked it.

"What did you do?" He asked with a raised brow. I glimpsed at Seungmin.

"If you're gonna yell at me, don't do it in front of him. He's been through enough shit this week." He chuckled.

"You've gone soft." I raised a brow.

"I didn't go soft. I just give a fuck about the people I love." I walked further into the house and sat Seungmin down on the couch. Elias sat opposite us.

"You actually love someone, now?" I huffed and nodded toward Seungmin.

"Elias, this is my fiancé. Seungmin, this is Elias. He's a childhood friend." Seungmin nodded and Elias smirked.

"Why are you here and what do you need me to do?" Elias read the room and changed the subject. I wrapped my arm around Seungmin's waist.

"There's a person that used to be in Seungmin's life. He was a cousin. He did some really bad things. I'm not going into detail. He's here. He found us faster than I thought he would." Elias smiled.

"Did he follow you here?" I shook my head. I could tell Seungmin was anxious and it was weird to see. He was usually so calm and stoic.

"No. I need you to find him and bring him here. Downstairs in the basement." His eyes brightened.

"Okay." I shook my head.

"Don't even think about it. This is my mess. My job. I'll do it myself." Elias smirked.

"You sure about that? You're kind of rusty don't you think?"

"Don't worry about it. Just get him here and take him through the back."

"Okay. What's his name?"

"Lee Jaejun." Elias stood up.

"Give me a day." I nodded and he left after that. I waited till I heard the door shut to focus my attention back on Seungmin. I knew he had a lot of questions. I could see it written on his face.

"Seungmin."

"What the hell is this place and who the hell are you?" I took another breath. I didn't want him to know about this part of my life. It was not something to be proud of. I'd hurt and tortured a lot of people from a young age. I hated that part of me. Seungmin had changed me so much. Now, I was going back to my roots but this time it was because the person deserved it and not because of pleasure.

"This is my dad's safe house."

"Why would he need a safe house?" I stood up and moved away from him. I didn't know how he was going to take it but I knew he would never look at me the same again.

"My dad is a boss of the mafia." He froze and his eyes went wide. "He's a very bad man. He's done a lot of bad things. I have too." The look on his face turned to curiosity.

"And downstairs?" I glimpsed at the basement door and frowned.

"When my mom isn't here, my dad uses the basement as a torture room. Sometimes it's rats. Other times, it's people who owe him money. Not that he needs the money. He uses that as an excuse. He takes pleasure in torturing."

"And you? Do you take pleasure in torturing people?" I winced.

"Once upon a time ago, yes. I did." Seungmin laughed, causing chills to run down my back. "Why are you laughing?" He calmed down before answering.

"That explains a lot."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean the person you used to be. This explains it all."

"Oh."

"Are you going to torture Jaejun? Is that what you meant by your job to do?" I hesitated before answering.

"Yes. I'm going to torture him." The glint in his eyes scared me but not as much as what he said next.

"Can I watch?" I frowned.

"If... you want to."

"Can I help?"

"I never knew you were so dark." He shrugged.

"Honestly, I find it kind of hot."
