Chapter 21

Chan P.O.V

The dorm was completely silent. Everyone was asleep except me. I sighed. I wanted nothing more than for my insomnia to go away but it hadn't. It only got worse. I was sitting in my office with music playing quietly in the background. There was a knock on my door. I turned around in my chair and told the person to come in. Seungmin was smiling. He wore nothing but sweatpants as he walked in and closed the door.

"Hyung, are you okay?" I nodded and motioned him to sit down. I figured he would sit on the couch but he walked right past it and crawled into my lap. I chuckled. He was very tired. I couldn't understand why he was even awake at four in the morning. It was rare for him. I wrapped my arms around his waist to support him.

"Why are you awake, love?" He shook his head.

"I was worried about you. I woke up to get some water but you weren't in your bed." I raised a brow.

"Did you crawl into my bed?" He looked away and nodded. My heart fluttered. For as long as I could remember, just the sight of me scared people away. Some of them hated me but most feared me. They'd heard the stories. Some of them even followed me to Korea but Seungmin wasn't scared. He'd never been scared of me. He treated me like a person instead of the psychopath everyone at home saw me as.

"Can you come to bed?" I sighed.

"Even if I do, I'll just keep you up with my restlessness." He frowned.

"Chan, come to bed." I raised a brow. He'd been calling me informally for a while now. He'd first done it when he got annoyed with me but now it was all the time and only in private.

"Seungmin, I'll just keep you awake." Then he smiled. It was a smile I'd never seen before. That smile became the only thing that made me press forward but it also became the thing that made me from him. It made me scared of him. It made me scared of what I could become.
