I was completely shocked at Elias's words. I didn't know what to say or how to feel about it. I had so many questions but I couldn't form the words. The next best thing came out.

"I'm sorry you didn't get to meet our father. He was an interesting guy." He smiled.

"It's okay. You're great too. On that note, don't ever pull that shit again. I will kill you with my own hands first." I busted out laughing.

"You really are crazy." He smiled.

"So are you, kid." I nodded.

"I can't say I disagree, Hyung." My eyes widened at my words. "I'm sorry." He shook his head.

"It's okay. You can call me Elias or Hyung. I don't care. I know this whole situation is new and it will take some time to get used to it. We're in this together, kid."

"Does Chan know?"

"He knows. I told him right before you woke up. He took it pretty well."

"Did you go talk to Jaejun?"

"I did. I think Chris should talk to you about that though. There is one thing I want to talk about though." I nodded. "Jaejun mentioned that you became a different person when you were down there. What happened?" I bit my lip. He was my brother. Would he understand? Would he hate me or be scared of me like Chan and Jaejun were when I was that person?

"I don't want to tell you." He raised a brow.

"Why not?"

"You'll be scared of me like everyone else." He smiled.

"You're my kid brother. How could I ever be scared of you? Tell me." I looked away.

"The last time Jaejun hurt me, something inside me changed. There was a switch in my head that turned off. My emotions disappeared and I just attacked him." He hummed.

"Is there a voice in your head when that happens?" I turned away and nodded. "Do you ignore it?" I shook my head.

"I talk to it sometimes but I've never hurt anyone because of it. He's just there to protect me." He nodded.

"I see. Mine too." I raised a brow.

"You have one too?" He nodded. "Hm. I guess it runs in the family." He chuckled.

"That's what Jaejun said."

"I wonder if Dad was the same way. You know he was a mafia boss too?" Elias raised a brow.

"You knew?" I nodded.

"Of course, I knew. I'm dumb. Not oblivious."

"So, you also know that that had something to do with why he died?"

"That's my assumption. I don't know what it has to do with Jaejun though." Elias frowned. "Do you know something I don't?" He shook his head.

"I told you, he will explain when he gets back."

"Where is he anyway?" He shrugged.

"I don't know. He just said that he would be back later and told me to watch over you." I nodded. We sat in a comfortable silence for a while before Chan came back. He had a black eye and a scowl on his face. Elias reacted before I got the chance.

"What the fuck happened to your face?" Chan sighed and sat down beside me. He grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"My mother. I went to talk to her about everything. I couldn't get through to her." I frowned.

"She did that to your eye?"

"She did. She's not exactly happy that I killed her husband. Nor is she happy to find out that her husband cheated on her and has a whole other son. Anyway, that's it. We're done here. As soon as you're cleared, we're going home." I huffed.

"How long do I have to be here?" The door opened then. I raised my brow at the middle aged man that walked in.

"One more day. Everything seems fine but I need to be completely sure." I sighed and nodded.

"That's fine. There's one thing I want to do before we leave." I grabbed Chan's hand and smiled. "Chan, marry me." He chuckled.

"You know, when I said that it was only jokingly."

"I know but I want to do it." He sighed and glimpsed at Elias. Elias only shrugged.

"You've proven yourself enough. If you want to marry him, then do it. I'm cool with it." I slapped Elias's arm.

"Be quiet, Hyung. I do what I want." I felt his hand wrap around my wrist and I turned to him.

"You deserve the world, Kid. I can't say I'm ecstatic about my best friend marrying my brother but as long as you're happy, that's all that matters to me." I smiled.

"Thank you, Elias." He hummed. I looked back at Chan to see his eyes glowing. I felt the warmth surround me. I never could have thought when we came here that things would end up like this. So many things had happened. I came with so much fear and now I was leaving with a brother and a husband. I realized that things were going to get better. They were going to get easier. I was going to be happier. After the man left, I was informed that he was Elias's uncle and had been the one to save me. I was grateful to him. Chan had also told me that Elias had been hesitant but did it for me. It felt weird to call someone my brother but I liked it. I liked having a brother. I really wanted to know why my parents had given him up. It wasn't fair that they never told me about him. I knew after this spontaneous trip was over, my mother and I would have a long talk that would most likely result in both of us crying.
