"It's getting late and your brother keeps looking this way, I guess its time for you to leave..." Xie Lian said in a wary tone to which Shi Qingxuan pouted.

"He just worries about you" Xie Lian said with a laugh as he patted Shi Qingxuan on his back "I'll meet you tomorrow in school, bye!" Xie Lian said getting up.

"Yes" Shi Qingxuan said, still pouting but walked towards his brother.

"Did I scare your friend away?" Shi Wudu asked in his voice a monotone, the tone he always used when people were around because father didn't want them to know how much Shi Qingxuan was treasured by his brother.

"No you didn't, I'll meet him tomorrow anyways where's Ming-gege?" Shi Qingxuan asked looking around avoiding Shi Wudu's possible later remarks.

"Bullying smaller kids ofcourse" Shi Wudu said looking very annoyed "Let's go find him" Shi Wudu said leading Shi Qingxuan by the hand after some time Shi Wudu wondered aloud.

"I did leave him here....where did he go?.. Ah there he is!"

Shi Qingxuan followed his brothers line of vision and saw Pei Ming talking to a kid almost his age, the later looked like he would give everything to be out of that situation which made Shi Qingxuan sympathize for him.

"Oh my god's! How many times have I told him to stay quiet and not go talking to random people" Shi Wudu said charging towards him with Shi Qingxuan tagging closely behind him.

"What do you THINK I meant when I told you to stay by the convenience store or meet me at the garden?" Shi Wudu shouted at Pei Ming.

As his brother reprimanded his friend, Shi Qingxuan noticed the kid making a run for it, when their eyes met.

The other boy froze and looked at him in a state of anguish and horror. Shi Qingxuan had never seen anyone make an expression like this towards him atleast, this made him curious and hurt.

Before he could stop the boy, to ask what was up the boy ran away like a bat running away from hell.

"Ah! He got away again! He was the same kid I met that day but I still couldn't get his name" Pei Ming moaned but didn't dare to pout as he looked away from Shi Wudu.

"Let's go back we have a lot of work to do" Shi Wudu said and that's was how he met the "boy who looked at him with horror".

Later in the evening when Shi Qingxuan was busy Shi Wudu came to him and told him that they won't be staying further in the Pei residence and that their father wanted Shi Qingxuan to get homeschooled back at the capital to Shi Qingxuan's disappointment, his brother was not going to tag along this time which was crazy... He could never imagine staying away from his brother.

"But how can that happen-" Shi Qingxuan protested.

"It's father's decision... Don't worry I will be coming back with Pei for my highschool so we will meet then..." Shi Wudu said his voice filled with obvious grief.

Afterall it was worth meeting Xie Lian wasn't it? Shi Qingxuan thought, coping with his sadness.

"You can make a call to that friend of yours before you leave" Shi Wudu said as he left Shi Qingxuan with his thoughts.

The next day Shi Qingxuan prepared to leave for the capital and told Xie Lian his goodbyes, promising him that he will come to meet him before he goes back for his high school.

And that's how he left for the capital unaware of the doomsday clock clicking for his family.
