He Xuan froze after the words fell from his lips. What did he just say???

He had one job? To get closer to Shi Qingxuan for business related things but he went ahead and ruined it

Shi Qingxuan on the other hand looked confused for a moment and then flused terribly red and refused to look at He Xuan.

"I'm so sorry it must-" have been very sudden you don't need to answer was what he wanted to say but Shi Qingxuan stood up abruptly stuffed his bag in minimal time gave a quick bow to He Xuan and mumbled a thankyou and ran out of the library in maximum speed.

Later at night when He Xuan made himself busy with drowning himself in guilt and embarrassment his phone rung to life with a message.

Are you sure about what you said back in the library?

He Xuan had stopped breathing for half a minute as he read the message over and over again. Then realising the fact taht he must give a answer he fumbled with words and then finally typed out.

Yes... I am sorry if I caught you off guard but you don't need to give me an answer right away...

Now this was getting awkward but He Xuan could burst into ghostly flames. He wanted to take Shi Qingxuan on a date, show him all the good things in this world, take him somewhere far away so that nobody could distrub them ever, he wanted to give Shi Qingxuan the best life out there. He wanted him to live happily atleast this once.

But He Xuan was scared.... things always went wrong... his father might kill him if he came to know that he harbored any feelings for someone from the Shi family. But what if? What if he hid it and ran away with him? He Xuan had a lot of experiences with running away (courtesy of 67 life times).

After their finals He Xuan atlast had freedom. He had planned a lot of things to be done for himself and his new boyfriend. People did look at them with a lot of envy and spite but it didn't bother him as long as he was with Shi Qingxuan who chattered all the time.

But his plans were soon crushed after his father called him back home for the summer vacations.

Shi Qingxuan had been terribly upset but He Xuan had to go, after much stalling he left for his family home.

As soon as he reached home the butler informed him taht his father wanted to have a quick chat with his beloved son.

"Father it's me" He Xuan knocked and waited for a answer.

His father's office was as the same as he remembered. Brown and black furniture everywhere giving the room an dark academia kinda looked. He Xuan would have fancied this place if it wasn't for all the memories he had made in here.

His father as usual stood by the window smoking a cigar.

"I heared you have started dating the boy from the Shi family"

"He asked me out so I figured I should keep him closer"

"Hmm" After a long pause his father turned to face him "You will he attending the party we will he hosting next week as one of the heir candidate for the He family"

He Xuan's father had two siblings, the three of them competed with eachother for the company with He Xuan's father emerging as the Victor and taking over He corporations.

Now for the next heir selection He Xuan had to compepte with his other cousins, for him it would be a piece of cake of he cared.
