°He Xuan°

It was all according to plan.

He Xuan had successfully broken up with Wang Duji (it was a mess), started rumours about him and Shi Qingxuan seeing eachother, spent more time with Shi Qingxuan to prove the rumours right and today he was taking the former out on a meal. All according to plan.

But the part where He Xuan would catch feeling for Shi Qingxuan wasn't a part of the plan. He felt excited for the very first time to take someone out for lunch...

He never felt this way when he took Wang Duji out on a date but now the feeling was different. The moment he saw Shi Qingxuan coming towards him from the library panic seized his limbs making him freeze.

Shi Qingxuan looked very preety his hair that now reached a little below his shoulders was left open giving it the messy but totally smashable (ahem...) look. He was wearing casuals in contrast to He Xuan's formal attire. Greetings were shared as they left for the restaurant He Xuan had taken pains in booking.

Entertaining Shi Qingxuan at the restaurant was a piece of cake. They talked about everything and anything, the conversation went smoothly till Shi Qingxuan mentioned Wang Duji.

"You could atleast tell me what happened" Shi Qingxuan pleaded making those puppy eyes.

"Wang Duji didn't like the fact that I was slowly drifting away and didn't have time for him so he started hanging out with Yue Yanzi instead and as far as it goes they are set" He Xuan said with a sigh faking a far away look for which Shi Qingxuan totally fell and bought the fake story He Xuan had made.

"It's alright" Shi Qingxuan whispered giving He Xuan a smile.

After the meal He Xuan offered Shi Qingxuan a ride and asked him if it was fine if they could continue hanging out often.

"Sure" Shi Qingxuan had replied.

The final exams for their high school third year was on the next month, but even among his packed schedule He Xuan made a point to take Shi Qingxuan out atleast twice a week (only if the later was free (which was always)).

It was just the week before their finals that Shi Qingxuan asked He Xuan if they could study together in the library to which He Xuan agreed.

The library wasn't crowded that day as it usually was (they had 4 libraries across campus but all of them were crowded due to exam week) and the pair sat in a secluded corner and studied with determination.

"Let's take a break!" Shi Qingxuan cried out just 2 hrs into studying.

"Sure" He Xuan obliged and took this time to check if he had got any important messages.

"I got asked out"

He Xuan froze at this.

"It was a junior, a boy, he said he had liked me for a long time now"

"And what did you say?" He Xuan asked Shi Qingxuan as he kept his phone down on the table.

The later had his head down trying his best not to make any eye contact with He Xuan.

"I told him I already like someone else" Shi Qingxuan's voice sounded plane with no emotion.

He Xuan felt a pang in his heart.

"Do I know the person you like?" He Xuan asked trying to keep his voice monotone.

"Well it was a lie" Shi Qingxuan said now lifting his head up to look at He Xuan "It was the fastest way to get rid of him"

"Oh"

"You look like the world around you is about to shatter are you alright?"

After a big pause He Xuan finally asked him.

"Shi Qingxuan will you go out with me?"
