I performed a few more songs by bands such as Pierce The Veil, Black Veil Brides, Sleeping with Sirens and mayday parade. I managed to make around thirty dollars and decided to get some lunch. I finished counting my money and slipped it into front pocket ,making it easier to pick pocket since I'm in skinny jeans, and started to put my guitar in its case. I was already picking up my bag when I noticed a guy standing nearby with a camera. I watched him cautiously as he put the camera in his pocket and approached me. "Uh, Hi my name Jeff and I'm doing a film for school so I was kinda wandering around, when I heard you playing and well you are really good so I wanted to film it and maybe post it online. Sorry I didn't ask first, I'm asking now if it's okay if it's not I'll just delete it." He looked rather embarrassed but I just shrugged. I looked him up and down. He has messy brown hair that swept low and to the side a little kinda like a scene kid, I could see his warm brown eyes through his bangs, noticed an eyebrow piercing along with two lip piercings, snake bites, which he chewed on nervously. I noticed him wearing an All Time Low shirt and his arms were lined with bracelets, his black skinny jeans bunched up a little at his ankles and he worse simple black and white converse. I cleared my throat a little, still cautiously but a little less tense. "That's fine I don't really care that much." I paused holding out my hand. " The name is Wren." He smiled shyly and shook my small hand.

I chatted with Jeff a few minutes before heading across the road to the Starbucks and decided to kill some time by drinking some coffee and sitting outside to practice a few songs I haven't played in a while. I heard a snicker and looked up to see some girls about my age watching me. Unlike Jeff they didn't give off the harmless vibe and I tensed instantly. They weren't dressed to stand out, just t shirts and shorts with not too much make up. They snickered again when I looked up. "Freak!" I snapped my head to the one closest to me. I bit my tongue so hard I tasted blood. Replying to these types of people isn't going to help anything at all. They all snickered at her. "What mommy didn't want you anymore?" It took all I had in me not to slap her. I pushed my guitar out of my lap calmly and started to pack my things. "Daddy probably kicked you out because you are so ugly?" Before I could even think I flipped her off.

Before I could even get up to run I was covered in scalding coffee. I pulled my now soaked bangs out of my face just in time to watch the four girls walk away with empty cups. Covered in four cups of scalding hot sugary liquids I quietly packed my things and wandered into Starbucks and cleaned myself up in the bathroom. I managed to get the coffee out of my hair and off my face but, my outfit is ruined.

I watched my reflection as tears formed in my eyes. Today was supposed to be special. Pierce the veil, All Time Low, Sleeping with Sirens, and Mayday Parade are coming to the city and I'm covered in coffee. I wiped my tears on my baggy sleeve and realized most of the coffee is on my jacket since it was zipped up. I cautiously unzipped my jacket and looked at it sadly. It's probably ruined anyway. I folded the jacket and placed it in the trash before gathering my things and slipping out of the bathroom. I spent the rest of my money on some coffee and a muffin and settled in a booth. I fidgeted with my hands but, stopped when I heard my order being called.

Stepping out of the booth I made my way to the counter. Reaching out to grab my drink I noticed someone had taken a seat across from mine in my booth. I scrambled over quickly and made sure my stuff was still in the same place. I noticed the person I saw is actually a little girl maybe five or six. I crouched down beside her seat. "Hello, my name is Wren. What's your name?" She looked up at me with big brown eyes. "Izzie." Her voice wavered a little and I frowned. "Well Izzie, where's your mommy?" She burst into tears."I don't know!" I pulled her into my arms the way my sister used to do too. "Come on let's go find her. Just point her out when you see her." She nodded and lifted her head off my shoulder before shaking her head. I pulled my bag over my free arm and grasped my guitar. I stepped into the cold and looked around a bit before Izzie pointed out a frantic woman calling her name and looking around the side walk. I pulled Izzie closer to me allowed her body heat to warm me a little as I carried her to the woman. The woman's eyes met Izzies and she ran to me pulling Izzie from my arms and peppering her face with kisses. "Mommy, Wren helped me find you." Izzie stated with big innocent eyes. Her mom smiled but it turned to a glare as she faced me. "Don't ever touch my daughter again you freak!" She snapped turning away from me. I flinched before waving at a confused Izzie over her moms shoulder. I checked the time and cursed. The concert is probably almost over. I realize I spent more time than I though at Starbucks.

I jogged to my place across from the venue just in time for the last notes of the last song to play. I felt tears streaming down my face yet again and fell to my knees. I dragged myself to the curve and instinctively found myself opening my guitar case and strumming familiar chords.

I sang my heart out. My voice heavy with emotion reached levels I never thought possible, all the while I shivered from cold with warm tears streaming down my face. I felt my voice crack at some point and having no idea how long I've been singing I decided on one more song.

I felt my voice reach an amazing level as I poured my heart into my words. Singing Therapy I closed my eyes and thought of the nightmares I have every night and all of the pain of being rejected and running away. I finished the last note and paused to breathe. I heard clapping and looked up and nearly dropped my guitar.
